I pan fry some tofu, then make a sauce using creme fraiche. Fry onion and garlic, add couple tablespoons of CF to the pan and some dill, stir, remove from heat, add squirt of lemon juice, stir again. Serve ontop of the tofu, I have new pots and veg on the side.

Nice as a dip on the side of a chill0

I use it for cauliflower or broccoli cheese as the sauce.
Also stir a couple of spoonfuls in a curry just before serving.0 -
Ive just come across a brilliant recipe for Crème Fraiche Ice Cream. Basically you whizz up equal quantities of soft fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries etc) & crème fraiche with half quantity of sugar (although you can reduce this to however much you want) and then either pop in an ice cream maker or pop in a plastic tub into the freezer.
So with the amount of crème fraiche you have:
180g soft fruit
180g crème fraiche
(up to) 90g sugar

I found some in the fridge the other day, not enough for anything constructive. So I got a spoon and ate it.
I can't imagine why I'm not a size 10/12 like I used to be? :huh:0 -
