Shallots, courgettes and mushrooms fried til soft then add crème fraiche and grated parmesan and stir in some cooked pasta.

Just dollop it on a jacket potato, add chives if you have them, yum.

Use creme fraiche in a cheesecake, or serve a chilled dollop of it with a slab of rich chocolate cake or chocolate brownie.

You can make a salad dressing too. Get a big serving platter and put a layer of torn salad leaves on it. Then add torn pieces of smoked salmon and small slices of beetroot (the pickled variety). Add a few rings of thinly sliced red onion. Then make your salad dressing - creme fraiche, lemon juice, chives, and drizzle over the top of the dish, add a little seasalt and black pepper and Bob's yer aunty! A lovely light lunch or a starter.

I use it to make a lower fat salad dressing
Add mustard, honey or chilli etc

Lower fat than what, exactly? Creme fraiche is not a low-fat food. I always thought it has a similar calorie-content to double-cream and I wouldn't putting that anywhere near salad vegetables. Possibly not even in the same room

I use reduced fat CF and often mix it with some low fat mayo.
I find it gives a nicer flavour than low fat mayo on its own

I use it instead of cream to make dauphinoise potatoes. I boil the potatoes until almost cooked then cool before slicing thinly. Make the 'sauce' by gently heating crème fraiche, a chicken stock cube and minced garlic. Add some milk if too thick to pour. repeat layers of potatoes, sauce, grated cheese until dish is full and cook for about 40 mins. This freezes well (before cooking).

We use creme fraiche in chocolate cake can pass on recipe if wanted.

We don't use it for anything else we actually buy it just for the chocolate cake. It makes it heavier and more fudgey.

My father in law loves it so much he asks every week for some
