As tessie bear said it's great in tomato sauce - I dilute my home made sauce into a soup and add the creme fraiche and it tastes a bit like Heinz tomato ( but better of course):DAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

I use it to make bacon and leek & courgette pasta bake. Cook chopped bacon with some garlic and add chopped courgettes. You can add leeks to this pan if you like or steam them separately. Mix with cooked pasta with creme fraiche for the sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Thanks to REDRUBY The chicken was lovely, and my ds enjoyed the veggie version. That halumi cheese is rather expensive though. I will try putting it over quorn fillet or tofu next time. The oh wasn't very complimentary though. You can use it anywhere you would use a cheese sauce, like cauliflower cheese or macaroni cheese, by pouring over some of the creme fraiche and sprinkling with grated cheese then bake in the oven.
I like it on top of a potato bake - boil some sliced spuds for five minutes then layer them with some fried onions and maybe some sliced tomatoes, pour over the creme fraiche, sprinkle with cheese and bake for at least half an hour at something like 160 until the potatoes are soft. Yum.0 -
Homemade ice-cream mixing equal quantities of creme fraiche with flavoured yoghurt.
Stick it in the freezer for half an hour and then mix, repeat a couple of times until you have lovely yummy ice cream....

You can spread it on a pizza instead of tomato sauce
You can mix it with fresh herbs and mash it into baked potatoes
You can mix a bit of honey in and put it on a pudding

I have used it with fresh fruit salad and also in place of custard when eating a crumble or cobbler.
Also used when making a lasagne instead of white sauce/ bechamel
