  • Morning all,

Anger has relaced fear over my car! they have wrong facts - 2 payments in arrears = repossession threats - bloomin charming! finance co has def cashed 1 of the cheques enc in my letter from 13th as I sent one from account with internet access and showing on internet banking. Now just 1 part cheque to be cashed on monday for it to be fully up to date, then 4 more payments and she's mine!

Had a payout on scratchcards on Monday too - i love the way when you pay them it leaves the account immediately but when you send money back to your bank it takes a little holiday, trip round the world, then comes home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

    HAPPY PAD UPDATED!
    On target for the year.

    Declutter update: .

    .......there that didnt take long!

  • i Have been waiting for this for 5 years, these last few months will feel like forever, I guess I have set it as a mini target in my mind as it will release just over £150 per month which I am going to use to save for a rainy day/emergency type fund. The best bit will be that I can choose what and when i put away - it will help with moving payments back to correct dates!!

We are having a barking mad day here, think Spring is here, everybody is hyper and having a great time. Cant beat it!

  • Got home from work to find loads of post in the postbox.

    Main items being:

Council Tax for coming year - up 2.3%

Water rates payment book - up about £2 per month

    Letter from 2nd charge mortgage - RATE CUT £25 per month. :j :j :j :j

That means our total mortgage payments from April are now just over £100 per month less than January!!!!!! Add that to the nearly paid off car and I might even feel a tiny bit rich, hehe!!

Happy Pad is going to be very happy.

  • Great news for you - must be something to do with this glorious weather at the moment - the sun is smiling on you and your finances
  • Well I have now heard from the finance company. Although they wrote to us and allowed a revised payment plan and date for the last 6 months they are saying it was a goodwill gesture as DH had a nervous breakdown and they hadnt altered the computer records to allow for this - so basically in their eye's we were 2 payments behind (only just) as they had added 2 late payment charges in the last 4 years to the total. Cheeky wotsits  .

Next payment will go in the post to them this week with another letter. Nearly there though!!!!

What a lovely weekend weather wise, doesn't the sun make you feel so much better.

Hope you all have a LOVELY SUNSHINEY week.

  • I know! Thats what makes it so hard.

This month has a lot of payout as car tax and Mot too. But next month will be normal car payment, no car tax, lower mortgage - really hope I will be able to save again. :j :j :j :j
