well done for only getting £6 interest. i remember all the shenanigans i went through to try and decrease the interest i was being charged and started with moving all my transfers/DD's around.
glad to hear work is going well as well.

Thanks Lemon Tree, luckily at the moment Nwide don't charge a monthly account fee, so unless you get "proper" charges you only pay interest.

That is a good idea as I get paid on the 23rd and some things come out quite quickly so the money doesnt have time to sit there and not earn int charges, mind you, once the car is paid things will be better so could leave that in longer as debts have no int accruing on them due to self managed DMP by altering those dates!

All is fair in love and DCA's, hehe!!!!

Ohhhh I enjoyed reading that Me.
It was so colourful and bubbly reading material.:rotfl: Could do with the colouring in squares myself. I would always be in the red though, no other colours for me at the moment  .

    Anyway
    keep up the good work

    Hi Binnie :hello:

Have to stay colourful in this world! Red is actually my very favourite colour which is probably why I have spent the last 17 years in it, hehe!

But once I'm in the black I guess it will have to be Red nails and Lipstick instead. That would give DH a shock  .

You could always set yourself a £1 or £5 a square, so you can colour too!! It doesnt matter how much the square is worth, does it Hypno, every little sqaure is a step forward.

Tonights hotpot is cooking, and I am looking forward to meeting one of my account managers at work, they are based around the country but we have hit it off over the phone so fingers crossed.

Absolutely - you just work out the "value" of each square to suit you! Mine are £50 but that is just because I have a flippin load of money to find before I am debt free, and if I did anything smaller than that, I would have to have my grid on a roll of wallpaper :o

When the house needs decorating we could add up the number of walls and give each a value and paint a different colour :j

Well i had a new haircut, people at work loved it, said I looked much younger, I think its because I now have a fringe that covers the wrinkles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a small business which is seasonal and that is due to start in April again (cant give details in case it gives my identity away) but with new wages this year we are really hoping to make a difference with the income it should create rather than it being a necessary part of keeping going each month.

But the main issue is that this year will be my first year working full time and self emp so time is going to be stretched. i also lose 2 evening a week for DS to go to karate. The house is really cluttered which means every time something disappears it is a major task to find it. So my new non debt busting challenge is:

to be strong with the clutter - I am a nightmare for keeping things and we dont have any storage cupboards, not even an understairs cupboard, utility or enough cupboards in kitchen - me thinks this may be harder than debtbusting :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will add details of the declutter as it happens (oh prob by next Xmas, hehe)

 Got letter from DCA yesterday ref HP, they had all wrong info so have written to both them and finance co enc copies of letters and chqs to cover remainder of payment due now (was part of a month in arrears due to clearing council tax, elec and water) - they had me as 2 full months arrears as they have wrong payment date!

I give up, just hope the DCA disappear as they have nothing to collect and only 4 payments now left until all paid off. Trouble is they are local, by pure chance.

I panicked last night when I looked at their website - the are specialists in repossessing cars.

I think they were handed details at the end of last year but it was called back when we came to a new agreement from Jan - I suspect they have kept details to hand just in case, and then when they then looked at the account this month they wouldnt have had the letter with the revised details from Jan. Bit naughty of the finance company as they also didnt write to us to advise of the DCAs instruction. What if it had just been that a letter enc the monthly payment had got lost in the post, we got no reminder, there was not enough time to have even had a monthly bank statement etc. It really must show how desparate these companies are to get money in.

Letters have been posted 1st class. I just hope they dont visit over the weekend, being as they only wrote on the 11th March. We have visitors so will be very embarassing.

I will never ever buy a car on HP again.
