    Hey FF
Sorry to hear about your toothache. I can sympathise, I had toothache last year after losing a filling and my options were like yours root canal or extraction
I opted for the root canal and unfortunately I was in agony as they packed it too tight :( fixed it and less than a year later (Feb 09) I cracked the tooth and had to have it removed. It would have saved me about £50 if I had had it taken out last August.

I hope you get it sorted soon

I went to the dentist and got me some root treatment

He essentially offered to take my tooth out there and then and I couldn't face the thought of doing that, and jugglebug had said that it might not be the best long-term option, so I was brave and went for root canal.

It was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I got an injection in my face which numbed it and it honestly only hurt a tiny little bit towards the end but it was nothing compared to what I had been experiencing throughout the day.

I have to go back to my own dentist to finish the treatment, as this was only the cleaning of the roots and application of some kind of dental medicine followed by another temporary filling, but it will soon be over.

I will apparently have a little pain for the next couple of days, and it should clear up soon. Hurrah!

FF - glad you got it all (or half all) sorted. Teeth have so much flppin' potential to go wrong (and so quickly too!)

Hope this fine, funky thread is all good!!

I have been dilgently making my payments over on the PAD thread and also last night applied for my second job with the government employer at Canary Wharf. Keeping them crossed. A response on the first one should be due any day now.

Jiggled the finances and still on course to be rid of the Cap1 sometime in September which will be fab and I will do cartwheels and sing songs n stuff! :rotfl::rotfl:

Ah fresian, on the SoF - can you drop Sentanta for the off season? And also, how much is it p/m...I'm thinking as a boy and what I do when the big games are on... would it be cheaper over a year to send OH down the pub with a tenner the times Newcastle play?

Hey Andy! Thanks for popping in!

Good idea on the Setanta front - we could send him to his sisters house as they have SkySports and a HUGE telly...

The issue is that I don't know how much cheaper it would be. Last time I tried to jiggle around the telly package it was going to cost us more to have less service...odd I know but that seems to be how Virgin work :rotfl: I will be talking to OH about money again soon (Maybe when I have him trapped on the Train To The Toon!) and will mention it then.

Not so good sending him to the pub - he doesn't drink...

Well hello you brave wee soldier you! :T Us Scottish girls are made of strong stuff though?!! Well done for not taking the easy option and getting tooth pulled - hang on to them as long as you possibly can! Hopefully, it will all clear up now and get better every day.

    Morning all!

This post is more to keep me right than anything else:

Money left in account for PADding £12
Money in Entertainment budget £20 (All will be spent in Newcastle)
Money in Groceries budget £68.29 :D
Cash money in purse £43 (£10 of this is owed to colleague for lunch yesterday)

More than enough money to see me through until payday on Friday, but might have to pinch some from groceries budget if I overspend in the Toon :rotfl:

    Morning all!

Just about to go and get myself in the shower and get ready for my Trip To The Toon! I'm very excited, I love Newcastle, especially the accent *pervs*

Luckily I have my own Geordie at home - currently snoring away merrily :rotfl:

I got some tiger bread rolls reduced in Morrisons yesterday, so I'm going to make us some rolls for the train, and then all I will need to buy is dinner. I am going to be honest though - I believe there is a Primark in Newcastle quite near to St James' Park, and if that's the case I won't be held responsible for my spending :D We don't have one in Edinburgh and I love their clothes!

Have a lovely Saturday folks, I'm taking my camera, so you might get pictures tomorrow!
