    Evening peeps!

    I have been quite quiet (for me!) so here's a little update for you.

    I went to the pictures last night with my best friend to see Coraline. I object strongly to having to pay an extra £1.50 to see a film in 3D. My bl**dy cinema card says "Unlimited" on it, so why am I paying??? Grrr... The film was awesome though and I got my own back on Cineworld by sneaking in my own sweets and water. Mwahaha. Master criminal :D

    Got up at the crack of dawn this morning to investigate the M&S Penny Bazaar. I got there at 8.20 (Opened at 9) but by the time they opened the queue was massive. Go me for being sad enough to get there early! They didn't have the nice necklace and earrings set they have been advertising - cheeky beggars - but I did get:

    * Brooch
    * Cufflinks
    * Tie (Happy Fathers Day Dad!)
    * Teatowel
    * Mug

    I paid £1 for all of those as the extra went to charity, and it was still bargainous. I'm going to see if there is an Ebay market for the cufflinks as well as they are really nice.

    In other quality MSE news, OH has royally knackered his phone, not that long after me arranging a new SIM-only deal for him :rotfl:He dropped it in the sink. I asked some colleagues on the off-chance and he now has a nice Sony Ericsson Walkman phone for nothing :j I will have to buy my friend a drink next week when we go out (Oh, the humanity!) but it's a small price to pay compared to that of a new phone.

    I have been quiet of late as there has been overtime on the go at work so I have been adding a couple of hours on here and there. I have only done two and a quarter extra so far, but every little helps! It's so blooming rare to get it at the moment that I tend to grab it when I can!

    I need to spend some time budgeteering soon as payday is Friday and I need to do some maths. My payrise is showing on my payslip, and I now earn more than £1100 per month after tax, which makes me feel very rich! I shall be trying to hide most of this extra away and am going to try and work with the previous amount...we will see how that goes!

    Right, quick update has turned into MEGAPOST! See you all soon.

    Xxx

    Evening F_F :hello:

    I think we should stage some sort of cineworld protest as the extra charges for 3D films are ridiculous especially as they put the monthly price of the card up as well.

    I saw your earlier post about the pea and ham soup and I think that onions are "translucent" when done.

    As for Lost I decided that at the end of the 3rd series I could not be bothered anymore as it was getting very silly and I would be very angry when it was all explained and want the wasted hours of my life back.

    Happy payday budgeteering.

    Evening all!

    I am slightly conflicted:-

    On one hand, I want to pay lots of money into my savings account to build a redundancy cushion and clear my loan early :A

    On the other.....tickets go on sale tomorrow morning for Skunk Anansie, one of my favourite bands of the 90s and a guaranteed good time. Probably about £50 for two tickets. The Edinburgh Fringe programme is issued on the 10th of June, with booking soon after for people like me who pay for early booking - I will normally spend about £100 on tickets for shows in August.

    I'm thinking that as long as I pay at least £100 on top of the spends above into my savings account this month I won't be doing too badly.

    In addition, one of my friends want to have a car boot sale and has asked if I want to join. I'm too lazy for Ebay, so this could be a way of making cash and paying off some of the money I will spend on the above-noted funtimes.

    I think that anything I don't sell I will just drop off at the local recycling point anyway.

    What do you think peeps? Can I justify easing off on the DFW action for a little while? I will still make PADs every day into my savings account, it's just quite likely they will fly out at the end of the month to pay my credit card bill :rotfl: At least I won't be adding to the debt.

    I'm conflicted, advise me!

    go for it - buy the tix! your loan is front loaded interest anyway, isn't it, and although v. worthy to increase your "what if?" account, you also need to enjoy the fruits of your labour...

    i think it's a great idea to see what you can claw back from a car boot, which has the added bonus of clearing your house (flat?) of carp...

    I think you deserve a treat as you have worked so hard. How about having a couple of months "off" then getting back to it?

    Well... it doesn't cover everything but I reckon that Evil Beach Guy (black shirt) and Jacob the good (“What lies in the shadow of the statue?” “He who will save us all”) are on the beach at the time the Black Rock arrived at the island. I reckon Richard Alpert was on that boat, thats the time that he arrived. Evil Beach Guy wants to kill Jacob but can’t.

    For some reason, Jacob ends up imprisoning EBG in the cabin, probably to stop him doing any mischief. The ash around the cabin is to keep him IN, and later on the gap in the ash is what allowed him to get out. When Ben takes Locke to the cabin the first time, Ben is pretending – but the person who asks Locke to “help me,” is actually EBG and NOT Jacob.

    I also think that EBG can manifest himself as the smoke monster and as other people (Christian Shepherd, Alex, and eventually Locke). Reasons for thinking this: The smoke monster has bigged Locke up constantly making him feel special in the hope that he will get to the stage that he will kill himself in the name of the island. He isn’t really special, the poor guy has been led on all along. Also, the manifestation of Alex told Ben to do whatever Locke said – and Locke had to tell Ben to kill Jacob (because Locke can’t, because he’s really EBG who isn’t allowed!)

    I also reckon that Rose and Bernard were living in the same cabin in the 70's with Vincent, which explains the painting of the labrador, and then either they die just of old age or from the bomb. I think they might well be the skeletons they found in the cave in season 1 aswell.

    Can you tell I've been thinking about it too much hehe.

    Oh btw the ham sounds nice as does the soup! (and well done for cleaning up!) How much coke did you use just one of the individual sized bottles?

    xx

    Oh my life! I haven't watched Lost since season 2 and that all sounds like complete nonsense :rotfl::rotfl:

    Judicious use of the phrase "Skunk Anansie Presale" in Google has led me to buy two tickets :j

    £39 for two tickets (Bargain!) and over £7 in "booking fees" :mad: And that wasn't even going through Ticketb*stard. Still, hurrah and hurrah again :D I shall make my large PAD tomorrow - for 'tis payday again - to my credit card not my savings, so I shall feel doubly worthy. Not so long ago I would have put it on my credit card and not have paid it off when the gig happened (November!) so hurrah thrice :A

    Morning all!

    Just a quick post from me before I drag my sorry carcass into work to do overtime. Think of the pennies, Fresian, think of the pennies

    happy-131.gif

    Had a lovely day yesterday - went and got some M&S goodies in the morning from the Penny Bazaar and then work (Boo!) Treated myself to some No7 makeup the day before to get the lovely GWP and am going to Ebay some of the sample sizes I won't use, so hopefully another few pennies for the pot! I should have £90 Quidco this month too, which will offset the tickets I will be buying for the Edinburgh Fringe.

    Due to extreme laziness last night I was going to buy pizza takeaway (Lazy!) as my best friend and her man were coming round to visit. I knew she didn't get paid till next week and couldn't splurge so got her to take me to Asda and I bought three pizzas and two garlic breads for £6 and we had a feast! MSE takeout :rotfl:

    Righto, must dash - I have to go to work, do a few hours of overtime then:

    • Get OH prescription from Boots
    • Buy something cheap and cheerful from New Look to wear out tonight
    • See if WH Smith sells Civil Partnership cards
    • Go and attend a Civil Partnership reception for two close friends
    Ooh, I also need to hang out the washing before work.

    Busy Fresian today!

    Hi ho folks, we're back online :j

    Couldn't have coped for 7 hours without the forums :rotfl:

    I've gone and done most of my bits and pieces. I didn't see anything I liked in New Look, but got two new dresses from Dotty Ps for £35 in total in their sale. Not too shabby. I'm just hoping they fit now!

    The washing has been hung out, and I just have to do the dishes and then get myself ready to go out.

    Everyone having a nice Saturday?
