    Back again :rotfl:

Just wanted to add that I am in a much better mood now - I have eaten my reduced pizza (Nom nom) and my flatmate has made me and OH tea, hurrah!

Also, I logged into Quidco and my cashback for OHs mobile is showing as Received :D This should then be paid at the end of the month and I have also received the money for my Mothers Day flowers (That I bought on behalf of my brother to benefit from cashback!) so I should be due £96 at the end of the month :j :j

This will be the last payout until next year I think as I don't have anything else waiting to be paid. I don't have any insurance to renew at present (It's a b*gger to insure my house as I have a lodger) apart from pet insurance, and that won't net me much. I can't renew that until I vaccinate the kits anyway...another thing to do.

My jaw really hurts, I suspect my wisdom teeth are trying to make a long overdue appearance....

It is a bit pants isn't it? I never managed to save it up anyway.. I always caved and had a flutter so not much changed for me. It's still a fun way to save up to have a bit of a gamble and maybe win some decent cash so I will probably still play. :D

Hi f_f, only just caught up with your thread. Hard a bit of a carp week.

I can completely relate to you. My OH has struggled with depression for years but we never really realised until a couple of years ago when he tried to take his own life. It's been a difficult time. He had a little counselling, decided he was fine and didn't go back. Then at Christmas we had more problems. I had to be firm. I told him i would do anything to help him but ultimately he had to do something too. He started by going for meds which have made a huge difference.

I had to talk to him about the need for us to work together and that it was pointless me trying to repay debts and save money when he was incurring charges every month. I now have responsibility for every single bill / debt. It's a lot to take on, but it relieves his stress and my worry about what bills he's incurring. For that reason i think it's a good plan to pay off the debt he has. Get him to pay you back at whatever amount suits.

I've reclaimed PPI on his MBNA card. I ended up taking it to FOS and it's taken a long time, but we're nearly there. If you belive you have a case don't be put off by the company's initial response.

Deffo put in the claim for credit card charges, i;ve done that too and got them back reasonably quickly.

Sorry for long post, but really feel for you on this one. Hope work isn't too painful!

    Hugs xxx

I've done my overtime, had a chat with OH and cleaned the kitchen so far today, yay me!

We have agreed that if he can't sort out his finances by the end of next week then I will pay off the loan for him. He's not happy about it, but it does make sense.

I only did two and a quarter hours of overtime, but I was sleepy and couldn't be bothered. I will do more during the week while it's still available...

Nothing else to report really, thanks for all your advice and support though, you are all wonderful lovely people :T Hopeful, I'm hoping that soon I will be able to convince him of the benefits of me looking after all of the finances, it will be less stress for everyone really.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone!
