Evening all!
Another NSD Chez Fresian - brought my own home-made soup into work, and snacks. I went to the local shopping centre at lunchtime but the snacks I bought were paid for with Boots points, and I went to the pictures tonight using my Cineworld pass and smuggled in some Dolly Mixtures of my own so as not to spend stupid amounts of money on their overpriced sweets.
I went to see Wolverine (Purely because I like Hugh Jackman - AKA Huge Action) It was good in terms of perv-factor, but I didn't rate it highly in terms of story etc. Having been told by [strike]my own personal geek[/strike] OH that Gambit was the best X-Man in the comics, I didn't feel that he had enough time. And he was very easy on the eye, so more screen-time would have been good :rotfl: All in all a good movie for action-loving teenage boys (Lots of boom crash wallop) and for pervy ladies nearing 30 (And beyond!) like me, but not the best thing ever.
The new Star Trek movie is out at the weekend though which is giving me a total geekgasm0 -
Hi F_F! Sorry to hear about evil vodaphone
set of barstewards indeed!
Still busily planning trip oop north to edinburgerfound a website for one of the ghost tours which looks quite good (and scary) OH fancies underground scary tour, I fancy Greyfriars Kirkyard tour with genuine poultergeist (sometimes) but don't know if that would be too scary. Could do both but they are £8.50 each:eek: You do get £1 discount off of second one though... maybe we'll fight it out between us which one we go to first and then if it's good go to the other... Don't wanna go on a spending frenzy really.
Oh joked today that by the time we go I'll have it all planned what we are doing, when we are doing it, how much it'll all cost and exactly how much fun we will be having :rotfl::rotfl:
I just don't fancy any unexpected surprises (or expenses)
Funny, I've never been so anal at planning stuff until I started budgeting.. mayhap the two go hand in hand?!:rotfl:0 -

Look around for deals, you don't need anything hugely fancy. Mine is this one. I don't think I paid as much as that for it though, I think it was half price when I bought it, about £18 anyway.

Morning all!
Not a lot to report in Fresian Towers at the moment, just plugging away at debts etc without an end in sight :rotfl: Now that I have paid off my credit card/overdraft the money I'm paying is going into savings as I can only pay off my loan not overpay it. Although it's nice to be building up this pot of savings, it's taking more willpower than I thought not to just go out and blow the lot
Still, off to the cinema tonight with my Cineworld pass, so a nice cheap night for me :T0 -

Evening all,
Things are a little poo here at Fresian Towers, but I'm trying to keep my chin up and my smile plastered on
Quick summary:
OH was a student, but left his course. He suffers from severe depression and it all got a bit too much for him. New meds and a quarterly (!!!!!!) Head Doctor appointment is all our wonderful NHS can offer him. He's not working and hasn't been up to going to sort out JSA or Incapacity.
I am paying his credit card bill of £20 per month and his mobile (£15) until he gets on his feet.
He just told me today that he has gotten charges for not paying his loan (Good grief) and it appears as though this is the second month. I don't know what to suggest. He only has three months to pay on it, and I am tempted to just pay it off. I think it would be about £500. This would be all the emergency money I have, pretty much. I may be left with £250. It would mean that I stop lending him money for charges etc.
What do you think people? It would be the last time I would be bailing him out financially and I would expect him to pay off his credit card himself from now on as he would not have the £100 per month loan payment.
I'm all confuzzled and don't know what to doI don't want to put pressure on him, but it's been hard dealing with most of our outgoings just on my income and I don't want this to be an easy get out for him.
I am going to send off a legal challenge letter about his charges and also one for the PPI on his loan - he wasn't eligible for it and when we complained the bank essentially said that we lied on the application, which we absolutely did not. They changed the information on the application (He had been in work for a month, the adviser keyed a year) Now that they consider the complaint "resolved" can we raise it again? Has anyone out there done this?
Sorry for the mega post but I have a lot of thoughts in my head just not, and feel a bit poo.
Hope y'all are doing better than me, normal service will be resume shortly0
