Hope you are doing ok as you have been quiet recently. Sounds as if things down your end have been a bit rough so I give you my gift of a pogoing cow:D
I have been quiet recently, but mainly because things with work have been so monumentally poo. I can't really vent about it on here as I don't want to say anything online that could get me into trouble in real life :rotfl: Mr Fresian has been a godsend though - getting me out of the house and keeping me cheery, so yay for him
Money has been tight (When isn't it?!) and I seem to have forgotten all my budgeting principles of late. I am going to finish the month in the black, but have got things on my credit card to pay, which is the same to me as being overdrawn. So, back to major budgeting next month. Boo!! I have a lot of nights out in August as well with the Fringe Festival, Faith No More (WooYay!) and Billy Connolly in September too.
Ebay is going to be a must, but the motivation isn't there. I'm hoping I can do more this week.
Must dash - going to be late for work at this rate0 -
hey there
we all have bad weeks dont beat yourself up about it
work aint helping, when you having a downer at work it seems to affect everything
well don mr fresian, sound like you have a gud opne there
cheer up and we are all behind you xxx0 -
Hey f_f, sorry to see you have been having a carpy time of it, but if anyone can pick themselves up, dust themselves down and come out the other end doing a funky cow dance, then you can, so keep your chin up. Sounds like a good plan moving to the country, I mean to say, what's the point in living in the city when you being a good little MSE girlie and not going to the shops?! Is it right into the country you plan to move to or are you going to settle for village life? Which area? or do you not want to say on here?
Take care

I have to admit to looking at the HSPC website and finding places all over the north which look lovely and very affordable. I hope you find somewhere wonderful and The Bank get their act together very quickly.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. B*gger. I thought I had multi-quoted you too!! We haven't decided exactly where we would like to move to, but ideally Skye & Lochalsh area to be near my parents (My dad's not far off 70 now and it would keep me happier to be nearer to him) and our friends who are up there too now.0 -
Hi all!
Just thought I would do a wee update while I'm waiting for dinner to cook (Whoopsied fishcakes are in the oven, om nom nom)
Things have been dull here at Fresian Towers. Work is better this week - I might be taking on a big project which will keep me busy for weeks, which is a hopeful signOther than that, myself and Mr Fresian have been pretty quiet due to having not a penny to rub together :rotfl:
I get paid a week tomorrow and should keep us afloat until then, but will have to plan and scheme. So, schemes:
Supermarket
Not much needed apart from milk and bread every other day. Tomorrow I need to buy:
- Pasta (How could a DFW be down to her last tiny bag?!)
- Tatties
- Peppers
- Onions
- Apples/bananas
- Ham
- Eggs
- Cheese
I am usually useless at this, but needs must when the devil vomits on your eiderdown. So, meal plans:
Today - whoopsied fishcakes with beans
Thursday - Shepherds Pie (Insta-cook as have base in freezer, just need tatties)
Friday - Chilli (Got in freezer from batch-cooking last weekend)
Saturday - Fajitas (Use chicken in freezer, peppers & onions from supermarket trip)
Sunday - Roast chicken, tatties, peas, gravy (Yum!)
Monday - Leftover chicken cooked MSE-style (Found a recipe before which is ace!)
Tuesday - Slow-cooked ham, tatties and peas. Pea and ham soup with leftovers for lunches
Wednesday - Fishcakes again (More whoopsies!)
That should keep us fed for the week, hopefully!
In good news, my Faith No More tickets arrived today, hurrah!!

Good news on the project...nothing like a bit of semi-organised chaos to make the working day go faster.
Like the menu...my biggest problem is Small Boy being a cereal killer. He'd be faster pouring the milk in the box. He was unchuffed the other morning because he'd only had two bowls before he had to go and meet his grandad, he left muttered something about having rights!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. That meal plan sounds scrummy, can i come to dinner/tea please?I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0
