How exciting, a new life, in a new place.

I'd love to emigrate, though don't have the balls.

    Morning all!

Quick post pre-work as ever. I've been quite quiet (For me!) on here over the last couple of days as things sink in. I have spoken to Mr Fresian and we now have a plan:

Our ultimate plan is to move North and have a better quality of life. I want to grow veg and have chickens. I want to laugh at the cats being scared of the chickens :D I want to see the stars at night and wake up and see the mountains. However, to achieve this we will need to sell Fresian Towers and we're not ready. We need to redecorate most of the rooms, deep clean the place and replace the carpets (Sodding cats!) We need money to move and we need to find the perfect house. So, Le Grande Plan:

    • I try and keep my job, but put Voluntary Redundancy down as one of my options in case they decide they don't want to keep me - may as well get some money from the b*ggers :D
    • Mr Fresian is going to declutter and be my Ebay biatch - I will list, he will post etc
    • Carboot money in July goes to paint etc for decorating
    • We both use our contacts Up North to listen out for work - things rarely appear on the JobCentre website, it's who you know up there
    • Mr Fresian may find work up there for the summer. We would only see each other every month but he would give me his wages (Mwahahha!) and keep basic pocket money
So, there is Le Grande Plan. It does seem silly to give up a [strike]perfectly good[/strike] job in the current financial climate and once I wrote things down I realised we couldn't really cope at the moment with no money at all coming in. I'm quite glad I started my Oh Sh*t I'm Redundant Fund now :D

Must go to work. Yay for Friday though - bring on the thunderstorm I've been promised. I'm too pale for this weather!
I sounded so positive there and I'm trying to keep this going....I've not posted since as I have been royally p*ssed off....

The announcement that was made at the start of the week was incorrect and we don't have to reapply for our jobs next week, we have to wait until August to do it. Imagine putting all that stress on people then going "Whoops, we got it wrong"

Anyway, this doesn't impact myself or Mr Fresian as we're going to be pressing on with Operation Move To The Country.

We had a lovely day yesterday - walked about 5 miles around the town enjoying the weather and having a chat about our plans for work, life etc. We went to visit my best friend and her OH (a good friend of Mr Fresian) then off to see Ice Age 3. Takeaway Chinese on the way home (Yummy! Not MSE though :rotfl:) and a very nice day indeed.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend!

I have now received all of my Fringe tickets (Apart from Faith No More) and got a £10 House of Fraser voucher in the post from Barclaycard just because I'm their customer apparently.

    Good post day!

    Definately a good post day.

We got final confirmation that OHs credit card is paid off in full, the final £2.79 they missed last time has now cleared...his bank account is now in a Zen state of just ... being. Nothing in, nothing out, sound of whale music in the background. AND IF HE MESSES WITH IT AGAIN - I'LL BL00DY HARPOON HIM...whale music resumes...tranquility restored.

    Morning all!

Quick post to keep myself on track.

    16 days till payday (Yikes!)

PAD so far this month - £179.06 + normal loan payment of £128.33

    Money left:

    "Spends Account" = £80
    PAD Account = £20
Groceries = £71.86 Cupboards well stocked, just bread, milk and fruit/veg hopefully
Entertainment account = £6.48. Enough to take Mr Fresian to the pictures as he still has a student card :rotfl:

:rotfl: Not quite! New figures are below:

    15 days till payday (Yikes!)

    Money left:

"Spends Account" = £45 - transferred money for Chinese from this account and also sent £25 to OH to pay for fixing strimmer - he's picking it up tomorrow. The £25 will be replaced from my PAD account but takes 3 working days to arrive.
PAD Account = £10 Forgot about a £10 debit card thing coming off.
    Groceries = £71.86 As before.
Entertainment account = £6.48. As before.

£12 in my purse and little idea of where it has gone. I did buy cake today though (For the team at work)

Honestly? It's been ups and downs this week, I'm hating work and especially hating the new style that seems to be being brought in (Takeover bank runs differently to us and I amn't keen on it!) I can't see any kind of future for me in this company and don't know what to do. I've been working on my CV and hoping to send it off elsewhere, but I'm scared to do it in case:

    A) Nobody wants me (sob!) and I'm stuck at my job
    B) Somebody wants me and I have to leave before I can take my Voluntary Redundancy
    C) I take voluntary redundancy and don't get a job

I'm deflated and miserable and that's mainly why I haven't been posting as much - my get up and go has just f**ked off. I'm hoping that once the week is out of the way things will be better. It flipping well has to be.

    Dear F_F

I'm so sorry you're having such a lousy time. I've discovered that I'm absolutely crap with the unknown and spent Christmas under the duvet because everything was so up in the air. That's one of the main reasons I opted to go if they made it quick.

So I've no replacement job, doing lots of other things but actually happier that I have control over my life and not victim of strings being pulled elsewhere. Don't know if that helps in the slightest, but I thought it may be something to consider.
