A good Monday in Fresian Towers, and here's why:- I lent someone a pair of tights ages ago and she bought me a pair of knee socks to say thanks. Massive long stripy socks. Woo!
- I have arranged to meet a former colleague for dinner on Thursday (Payday) before she goes off on maternity leave
- I am going on a MSE expidition! I'm meeting the lovely kissjen for food and a movie - we're off to see Hairy Snotter on Orange 2for1
Her hubby didn't want to go (With good reason given that he can't see!) and Mr Fresian would rather poke his eye out than sit and watch Harry Potter (Philistine!) so we're off out ourselves. We're going to have to have a secret MSE signal. Suggestions on a postcard to Fresian Towers please :rotfl:
Mmmhhh, there is a thread on here - a lovely lady from Orkney, I just lurk in and out of her thread sometimes- revenge of the stripey socks I think it is called - she's a stripey sock lady - different ones for different days!
And oh, how exciting an MSE adventure, mmmhhh what could your signal be I wonder? Well f_f, you could always wear this and she would be bound to know you are f_f.
Seriously, that's lovely you are meeting up. :T It's funny really, everyone comes on here, we don't know a thing about each other, not even our real names, but everybody is so nice, so it's real nice you are meeting up. Enjoy.0 -
Looking forward to Wednesday. How about I sit and rattle a tin cup with "Give Generously" ... may pay for the popcorn :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And the stripey socks are a great result!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Hehe you'll have to get one of the car stickers each and wear them!
My b/f dragged me to see the new Harry Potter the day it came out, I've only ever watched the one with the guy in the prison wanted poster(dunno what it's called) because it's the only one thats ever on tv. Tried reading the first book when it came out and it was just awful! As was this film, I can't say I feel like I've been missing out!
But the b/f enjoyed it so you should have a good time! xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Morning all!
To do:
- Shops - fruit, bread & milk
- Tidy living room & sort washing due to being a lazy *rse and not doing it last night
- Find paperwork for recent Adventures In Dentistry
- Accompany Mr Fresian to the doctors
- Make yummy dinner
Hope y'all are well.

I've seen the new Harry Potter and thought it was quite good - bit disappointed that they missed out quite a bit from the book though (I'm a sad die hard HP fan - can you tell?!)
Looking forward to the new film coming out.....................................next year!
Have a great time - maybe you could wear your cool stripey socks?! :j0 -

Also need to remember to tell flatmate that if he is going to work early he needs to warn me, not take my shower time without warning, precipitating an early morning breakdown  Pillock.
Hope y'all are well.

Sorry, f_f, i had to smile at the bathroom thing. My grandad lives with my mom. You can guarantee the day she needs to be out early he'll decide to get up early and have a shave. It takes him hours and he doesn't even have anywhere to go. It drives mom insane!!!One step at a time0 -

LOL - I'm no fan of them either but my (almost) 13-year-old DS loves them. He asked me if I would take him to see the new one next Sunday and I breathed a sigh of relief when DH said :"I wouldn't mind seeing that actually...." I was like "oh, tut, you take him them!" (while trying not to dance round the kitchen)Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000

MY BINS GOT EMPTIED!!!
Non-Edinburghers - our [strike]lazy !!!!less b*stard[/strike] overworked binmen are doing "work to rule" at the moment, meaning that they only do what they are contracted for, no overtime. They must have been raking it in before as the town is STINKING and my bins hadn't been emptied for a fortnight. Hurrah for bins being emptied!!
Shopping (Crossed items = pre-whoopsie price):
Bananas £1
Apples £1.65
CAKE! (Sticky chocolate thing) [strike]£1.35[/strike] 12p
Lettuce [strike]60p[/strike] 39p
4xwholemeal rolls [strike]65p[/strike] 35p
Cinema sweeties for tomorrows adventures with kissjen £1 for three bags
Bread £1.29 (No whoopsied bread, boo!)
Fishcakes [strike]£1.15[/strike] 59p (Two packets bought)
Onions 54p
Plughole unblocker £2.59 (Own brand not Mr Muscle, £1.50 saved!)
Total spend = £10.11
I am therefore officially in budget for July. Hurrah! Payday is Thursday - I have £7 in my wallet and another £10 in the bank for cinema funtimes tomorrow. I'm very much looking forward to meeting another real-life DFW
If I don't post on Thursday morning kissjen has tricked me and I'm in her basement. Send help....
