    Morning F_F,

Waving back at ya from rainy Glasvegas. Let us know how you get on at Harry Potter, I have heard mixed reviews so that might be a plan for the weekend.

Glad things are slightly sunnier at your end, long may it continue.:D

Having lived here for three years, why has my flatmate suddenly decided that he wants to shower at 7.30 every morning? I shower at 7.30, I take about five minutes and then he showers. He takes AGES and if I'm late for work this morning I'm going to batter him.

It's not the best start to the day, it really isn't.

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

    Morning all!

    It's payday tomorrow
    yahoo.gifso progress report time...

    Starting debt = £6,993.88
    Current loan balance = £6,374.22
Amount in Instant Access savings = £16.64 - down a lot on last month :o
Amount in No Access savings = £700 :D

So, by taking off the amount in savings I work out that I now owe £5,657.58

This is a shameless copy and paste from the Debt Free Birthday Club thread, but I like to see the progress I'm making. It's nice to see that I'm almost 20% of the way to clearing my debt. It would have been more, but I took £100 out of my savings this morning to clear my credit card from last month. I am leaving the card at home this month unless I know I'm going to the supermarket (I earn points for spending!) If I want anything, it's cash or nothing...

    Plans for August

    1. Rejoin the Weekly Spend Challenge
    2. Post more on the Grocery Challenge for ideas/inspiration
    3. Sit down this weekend and do a Massive Meal Plan
    4. Book hotel for wedding in September that I'm bridesmaid at
    5. Enjoy the Festival without bankrupting myself....

  • Enjoy Harry Potter. We saw it recently.

Am bit confuggled. Maybe its due to us being muggles. So is this movie one half of the book and then another half is out later. Reason I ask is cos Movie Master Mr GG thinks that this movie is the precursor to the next TWO movies?

    Enlighten me purrrleease.....

Hope you and KJ have a great time.

Hey Golden Goose, I think your other half is right - I havent seen the one thats out now yet but heard that it is the film of the next (and last) book in the Harry Potter series (HP & the deathly hallows) that is being split into two parts, so there will be two more films after the current one. Hope this helps :)

  • Oh drat it. Mr GG is ALWAYS right. So unfair.

Thank you ChocChip! This current one is the Half Blood Prince so would make sense that the last book is split. You movie marvel you!!! Thanks again.

Now I shall tell him he is right and will have to endure a certain amount of smugness from him for the evening.....

Thank you for that! I have been meaning to find out a more OS way of doing this as Mr Fresian has issues with bleach (It makes him vomit a lot) which mean I have to be very careful when dying my hair...as one horrible Sunday lives on in his memory :o
