Well you will be making good use of that slow cooker then! Stew and soup all the way! Everyone I ever know who has lost a tooth has done it eating healthy stuff - my mums fell out with an apple, a guy at work was eating a ryvita, and when I was a kid my wobbly tooth came out when I was halfway through a banana - I crunched it and it has put me off banana ever since, I can't stand the stuff!

Hope you manage to get it sorted

    Plan for today:

    Shops:

    • Look for shoes for this sodding wedding
    • Buy something nice with my £5 off skincare voucher at Boots
    • Go to Morrisons
    Morrisons:

    • Pasta
    • Rice
    • Catfood (If Mr Fresian meets me at bus stop to carry it!)
    • Veg
    • Fruit
    • Meat (Whoopsies only unless good offer)
    General plans:

    1. Don't break any more bits off my tooth
    2. Get through work without being cranky
    3. Spend all night playing Okami on my Playstation and ignoring the washing :D

Have a lovley Friday all :j

No pain from tooth yet and appointment set in place to fix it tomorrow (Bet they don't fix it, I'll have to make another sodding appointment!)

    Plans for today are:

    1. Figure out what to make for dinner as I forgot to take the beef out to stew in the slow cooker. Oops.
    2. Dishes
    3. Clean kitchen
    4. More washing
    5. Put washing away
    6. Clear rubbish off bedroom floor. If I could get into bed without slipping on old bank statements etc it would make me very happy. :o

    Hello,

Why is it tempting to say napalm bank statements - that makes them go away.

I was going to go out but its a bit dreich so if you do bank statements I'll tackle the piles on the desk ... ugh. I'm sure it breeds, maybe that's why my RBS statements are half the size of HBOS and Abbey ... they're a !!!!!! hybrid race which will one day rise up and take over the world

    Plans for today are:

    1. [strike]Figure out what to make for dinner as I forgot to take the beef out to stew in the slow cooker. Oops.[/strike] Tesco Finest gourmet Aberdeen Angus beef burgers. (Whoopsied of course!) Om nom nom.
    2. [strike]Dishes[/strike]
    3. [strike]Clean kitchen[/strike]
    4. More washing Nope
    5. Put washing away Nope (I suppose there is still time, but it's looking unlikely)
    6. [strike]Clear rubbish off bedroom floor. If I could get into bed without slipping on old bank statements etc it would make me very happy. :o[/strike] Done!! Mr Fresian very happy as it's been driving him nuts for weeks!

So, I have done some of the things I was planning on doing. Other things include:

    • Won something on the Strongbow text competition - if I get a call in the next two days it's a good prize, if not it's probably a t-shirt :D
    • Entered code from Anchor butter on website to try and "buy" rewards. I now have 3 cows in my herd and need 30. Don't think this is going to happen somehow!
    • Entered what feels like 1,000,000 competitions! I try and enter at least 5 "win a holiday" type competitions every day as myself and Mr Fresian have no cash to go on holiday ourselves. We don't have passports but I would think of it as a justifiable expense if I win the 10 days in the Galapagos Islands I have entered the comp for :D
    • Made pea and ham soup (yummy!) for lunches this week
Now, other things to think about - meal planning being the main one. I really liked having a meal plan last week. I kept it in my purse and could look at it each morning to remember to take the food out of the freezer and to pick up any extra bits from the supermarket. I'm going to have a little think and my next post should be my meal plans (That way I can print it out at work) I can then keep one copy in my purse and one on the front of the fridge.

    Right, meal plan-a-rama!

Plans for the week so far are Costco on Tuesday (Woo!) and dinner with my pals on Wednesday so I need to have a meal prepared for all nights apart from Wednesday. So, here goes:

Monday Sweet & Sour Chicken with boiled rice
Tuesday Chilli a la tomtombeanie with boiled rice (Love that slow cooker!)
Wednesday Dinner out for me! Leftover chilli for Mr Fresian
Thursday Fishcakes with boiled potatoes and peas
Friday Grilled chicken breast, some kind of veg and potatoes
    Saturday Stew with boiled potatoes
    Sunday
Venison (Hopefully!) with potatoes and veg

I'm happy with all of this apart from the venison, as I've never cooked it before. I'm going to have a look around on the internet and see what I can find in terms of instructions. I could either cook the big lump of it I have or cut it into smaller chunks and make stew out of it. Anyone got any better suggestions?

    Quick "To Do" before work:

    • Go to shops and pick up some of the supermarket stuff we need
    • Decant soup into tubs for the week, pop some in the freezer
    • Hang up washing in machine
    • Dishes
    • Go to sodding dentists
As I'm going to a dentists near to our new Aldi (Which I haven't been to before) I'm thinking about popping in on my way home. My friend says it's quite scary though :rotfl: Aldi shoppers - any advice?
