Thanks for the offer of chilli, if I'm ever in your neck of the woods I'll take you up on that! I see you have been doing the meal planning, I've been doing it a while now and I really like it. I thought I'd get a bit bored but it actually takes away the whole umming and ahhing about what to cook (which inevitable used to end in a takeaway!)
    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Loving your food planning fresian - you are inspiring me to be organised!

I don't feel that organised!! I did it the week before payday as I was horribly poor and wanted to make sure I didn't go over budget. It worked really well and I'm quite into it now :D

And you will be more than welcome at Fresian Towers :D

I am doing well this week with it but if the venison goes t*ts up on Sunday I have planned to cook it then as it's the last day of Dominos doing any pizza for a tenner :D

I've had it stewed exactly like beef, served with dumplings...very very ummmmmm but maybe too heavy if it's warm?

It dries out very fast so maybe aim for a medium roast if you've a big chunk.

Red wine sauces or gravies ... extra yum.

Also had it carpaccio (sp) one...but wouldn't be brave enough to try that at home...

We're such a bunch of wannabe vegans here :rotfl:

Had pork thing for dinner, not the planned fishcakes - having them tomorrow instead of stew. Yum yum!

Got Dr Who on in the background while I perv around MSE looking for recipes to add to my book. I bookmarked loads of things on our PC, but Mr Fresian is always online playing games when I make dinner and it drives him mad when I interrupt to check how long to boil things for :D

New notebook has therefore been bought (on sale, of course!) into which I am going to add assorted tasty things and keep it in the kitchen, where recipes sensibly live.

I have an A4 folder & tear out recipes from magazine, stick them in poly pockets.....and then rarely read them

one day I might type them out & have them all in same format rather than oddments ..... but thats might be a bit too OCD

Dr Who rules......for now anyway, really not sure about the new guy.....

I thought that the last time, as I was mourning for Christopher Eccleston. :heart2:

It will be the same this time. I will humph and humph and say "Well, he's no David Tennant. Look at him with his silly hair," forgetting in my grumping that David Tennant as Doctor Who has ridiculous hair :D

I will be gloriously in love with him by episode 3.

Please refer me back to this post when New Who starts to see if I'm right!

Snap!! I meal planned for the 1st time this week after yet another almighty ba$$s up with hubby's wages. It's worked really well. I also made my 1st trip to Aldi to check out the fresh stuff bargains. I wasn't that impressed as things like tomatoes were really overripe. Like you, i did manage to pick up a few bargains though.

Glad all seems to be going well with you ;)

I need a plan of action:

    Clean shower
    Do dishes
    Tidy living room
    Dust living room
Encourage Mr Fresian to hoover living room
Head to Aldi for more cheap fruit & veg before the Super 6 changes to things I don't eat :D
    Go to the movies
Do at least three loads of washing this weekend

First of all though, time for breakfast!

2 loads of washing now done and airing in the living room as the weather is still obstinately unsummery.

Just off to do dishes now and then to clean the shower. The fun never ends at Fresian Towers :rotfl:

Aldi adventures completed! (No Farmfoods near me!)

I felt like a secret agent, as it's not like any other supermarket setup I have seen, so I was copying other shoppers behaviour to blend in :rotfl:

I'm very intrigued what's it like - it it different to Lidl even?
