  • Hi Guys!

Getting rather irritated now with this diet, I have been on it 4 weeks now and have only lost 5 pounds??! I'm doing everything by the book and sticking to the correct amount of food.... but nothing is shifting?! Any ideas? xx

    Hi Clareyfairy,

I am doing the diet with a girl at work and she only lost a tiny bit of weight in week one as she wasn't drinking enough water. Also she was having snacks that were a bit too big.

The staff at the pharmacy said that drinking a minimum of 2 litres per day was essential! They also said that sometimes if someone is doing a lot of exercise:j they could be losing fat but gaining muscle.

Have you lost many inches from your waist?

I drink 2 litres at work (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon) then I have a couple of pints on an evening too.

Well done everyone, you are doing fab !!!

Agree with Angel Jenny - the chances are its the water, but also possibly you are eating veg with too much carb content maybe??

dont give up though - some weeks you dont lose much, but as the others have said - you could well still be losing size...

Well done Angel Jenny that is great news .

Hi Clareyfairy don't think i can add anything else, are you noticing a difference in your clothes? I would just reiterate what Angel Jenny said the water intake seems to be one of the most important things with this diet.

I had my weigh in today lost another 3Ibs! Wasn't expecting that much due to my blip on Thursday and totm but I am chuffed to bits :j:j. Bought more shakes today and thought I would go for the cookies and cream.....yum yum yum they are really good, just wish they done some of the newer shakes as a mixed box.

Have another good week everyone and keep letting us know how you are doing.

  • Hi Guys,

Thanks for the kind words!! Wont be giving up any time soon as i'd feel like a failure! I drink so much water, i'm constantly going to the toilet @ work...people must think i'm strange! I'm wondering if I could be snacks as the CS website is slightly vague with snacks... I've been eating mainly pears/plums or apples...

I've lost about 4 inches from my waist, measured myself again last night and i'd gone up an inch!! I've got 3 stone to loose and it's not shifting lol! I'm thinking it must be dinner that's not helping me shift... but then again all I eat is salad with protein! Hmmmmm..... I'll keep @ it.

    Well done everyone x xx

    Hi Everyone!

I have my second weigh in on Tuesday evening but I don't feel any lighter!

Doing lots more exercising though.:j I took the dog for a 2 hour walk this morning and a fast walk it was too. Poor doggy didn't know what was going on!!

Even though I can't tell if I have lost any weight I have so much more energy!!

Is that normal? I have actual motivation to exercise and I don't stop if it hurts a little. Weird .... Like alien abduction or something!

Had a bit of a down couple of days, that TOTM so I guess normal, but I am back on track now!!

Hope you are all doing well!

  • Just thought I'd mention it - my Tesco has the Atkins bars reduced at the mo - the 5 packs of breakfast bars are only £3.72, the endulge bars are 3 for £2.50 and the bigger £1.89 ones are down to £1.26.
I stocked up on the breakfast bars - choc chip flavour, they are so yumm.

    It's only a game

    Hi everyone!

I have been struggling the past few days, I have not gone of the diet I am still sticking to it but I have been really hungry the past few days and REALLY craving junk (again). Apart from the first week it has been an absolute dawdle but I dont know why I am feeling like this all of a sudden-anyone have any idea? I know it says in the book that in the first few days you could get like this and it is your body burning fat but could it mean that this is what is happening now? Dont feel a difference this week yet but weigh day not until Wednesday, I wouldn't be too surprised if I didn't lose this week, it is going to happen at some point!

F10na is that your second weigh in? I lost 2ibs the second week and was a bit disappointed but lost more the following week. I know it is disappointing but I always try and imagine a pound of pure fat on my kitchen scales and that is what you are losing so well done!

Angel_Jenny well done on your exercise, i have not been doing enough lately so need a kick up the backside to get going again.

Thanks Mrs B will have a look for them tomorrow. xxx
