I have been on CS for 3 weeks and lost 11Ibs. I lost 9Ibs the first week and 2Ibs the 2nd. I was a wee bit disappointed with the 2Ibs but I do realise that the first week was a fab fluid loss and really 2Ibs is a decent enough amount to lose every week.

I too worry about wether I eat too much at dinner but to be honest it is mostly veg on my plate so it should be ok and I follow low carb recipes from books that I bought ages ago. It is difficult to know what to have and to be honest I don't know if you have checked out the CS web site but i dont really find it all that helpful, it doesn't give you enough ideas for mealtimes and the few recipes that they do have -many of them I wouldn't have.

Saying that though I am enjoying it and feel a HUGE difference within myself and I find it pretty easy on the whole to stick to, don't get me wrong though sometimes I think I would like something nice but when I really think about it I realise that actually I dont and this diet is far too expensive to cheat LOL!

Keep at it, it will be worth it in the end.

trudij how much longer have you go to go with your go lower diet?

the rate im eating it - I should be done by 2012....

Im not really doing it any more - Ive "donated" a lot of the soups and the things I dont like to my sister in law, but the pile doesnt seem to be getting any smaller!!!!

Its finances that are stopping me ditching it and going back to CS if Im honest - that and willpower. I HAVE to get my bum in gear and do it though - Im just finding the motivation part really difficult at the moment!!!

I did think about selling the soups on ebay - but they are so heavy that it would cost a fortune to send out (unless I can sneak them into the post at work - very mse ;) ) so I decided against it at the moment....

thanks for the thought though :)

    Hi Everyone!

I started the CS diet on Wednesday so I have just about finished my third day. So far I am really enjoying it. The shakes are lovely, really thick and sweet! I had the chicken soup today and I don’t think I like it. Not sure about it but it has a bit of a funny taste.

I want to lose quite a lot of weight, a few stones at least. I keep reading in magazines people saying “oh at my height every extra pound shows” and they are normally about as tall as me (5’2). So I wonder just how awful a few extra stones look!!

I have read ALL 38 pages in this thread!! Wow, some people have had truly wonderful weight losses!

I struggle at work mostly on an afternoon. I am not really hungry but I think it is just habit that makes me want to snack! I am not sure how to overcome this though! There are two of us doing the diet at work so it is nice to have the support.

Has anyone else had negative comments from other people? Loads of people at work say things like “it’s just a fad”, “you’ll put it all back on as soon as you stop” or “you’ll never stick to it”. Or my absolute favourite “would you like some birthday cake?”!!

    Hi Angel Jenny

I have only told 3 people that I am doing this, my hubby and my mum and dad as I know what peoples opinion will be and I want to wait until people really start to notice and I lose a lot of weight before I tell anyone else. i don't need and don't want any negative comments. This diet is working for me and that is all that is important at the moment. It is really nice that you ahve someone doing it with you though.

I find the soups a hit or a miss, I think the tomato one is my favourite. The rest are ok but some are quite spicy I find. Most days I just have the 2 shakes and I have started putting in a bit less water and mixing them with ice-aw they are delicious yum!

I have a wee confession though I wasn't good yesterday-we went Xmas shopping and it was a long way away as the nearest decent shopping city is 1 1/2 hours away and at lunch I had a burger (no bun) salad and a few chips , in my defence I did give most of my chips to my DH.
Then if that wasn't bad enough we got an indian takeway (double :eek:) and I had a curry, no rice and naan :o. I enjoyed it must can honestly say I am not missing anything and I really paid for it today (ahem dodgy tummy- that will teach me!)

Good luck Angel and F10na that weight loss is fantastic, keep it up!

  • Hi Angel_Jenny,

Welcome to the board! I've been reading it with interest too and have tried the diet a couple of times but haven't managed it to day 3 unfortunately! I'm going on holiday next week so plan to give it another go when I come back. I think whenever you go on a diet, people are pretty negative about it, perhaps because they're jealous. I usually use the negative comments to motivate me. Truth is, many people will view CS as a fad but when done correctly, it seems to work really well for a lot of people and takes away the anxiety of having to prepare and decide what to eat for every meal. So, keep up the good work and don't get those comments get to you (and if you do, you can come on the board and vent your woes!)
    Take care,
    Jenny xx

    Hi Teenie D and Goldilockz,

I guess more people know about me being on it as the shakes are hard to hide at work!! First weekend though! I still live at home and there is normally fish and chips on Saturday and some other take away on Sunday night......I WILL resist.

I may try the tomato soup next then. I still am not sure what the chicken one actually tasted like.

Teenie – I think that a little bit of what you fancy does you good and you were very good not having the burger bun!

Goldilockz – I’m not going to stop the diet because of a couple of naysayers but if they haven’t got anything nice to say they should keep it to themselves! This forum seems so friendly too I am glad I stumbled upon it!

I am setting goals and I think that when I reach my goal weight (waaaaaaaaay off in the future) I want to see one of those personal stylists so I can finally wear clothes that look good and that suit me! The clothes I wear now are to hide behind.

This is the first diet that I feel excited about! :jI seem to have a lot of energy too, but reading the book I should be tired as a side effect.:j I haven’t had a head ache either so I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.
