,still doing quiet well with the water must make shore i drink, or i find it a bit hard to go to the loo, is any one on cs having this truble ? .

I have trouble remembering to drink water it's terrible. I have three kids and I sort that lot out first and my needs seem to come last :(. Anyway, the trick I use to remember to drink lots of water is leave a water glass by the sink (if you work on your desk in your sight) and then everytime I go in the kitchen I grab a glass of water. In my case running around after the kids I'm in there a lot so it helps remind me to take a glass. If you work maybe carry your glass around with you everytime you get up to go to the loo, speak to a colleague etc.

Also have a tickbox paper near you and tick off every glass you have. It will help you remember.

sukey- it doesnt involve milk at all - in fact, milk is one of the things you shouldnt have, so dont worry !!

all the shakes are good - i got used to the coffee and chocolate ones eventually (well, this time round they arent so bad!!) if you get a starter pack you get a mixture of flavours, and a couple of free soups as well.

Talking to the man when i picked up a new box at the weekend - there are dessert CS's to come soon......

Well, I got through the night out very easily, had two glasses of wine with soda and wasn't even tempted by cider so maybe my willpower is stronger than I thought!

Got weighed Monday night and was rather disappointed - originally I was 73.6kg but wearing jeans and trainers (god that conjures up images of chavdom but they're nice velcro fashion ones!), this time I was 72 wearing very light clothing, so I extimate an actual loss of less than 2lb, even though I stuck to it religiously. Then it occurred to me that my period is due so fingers crossed that is adding weight, and next week may show a greater loss.

Then I went home and measured myself and was cheered up - lost 3.5cm from my waist and 2.5cm from my hips! I also measured my thighs this time round so next week I'll see if there's any change there. I'm also going to stick to getting weighed at Boots Friday lunchtime as that may be more consistent than a pair of scales that get moved around in the chemist's consulting room, plus it also measures BMI, and I get a printout as evidence!

My body seems to be getting used to less food going in, but unlike most people I don't find the shakes at all filling. I've had an Atkins Advantage bar for lunch on a couple of occasions and found it much more satisfying, plus I feel like I'm getting my chocolate fix in too. I still never feel as full as I used to with regular food, and if I get really hungry I have more of the allowable snacks.

The girls in the chemist told me there are new flavours coming soon, and they are awaiting approval for a fat-burning pill too! Oh, and I made the mistake of trying a CS bar - revolting!! It doesn't even resemble food, kind of foams in the mouth, yuk yuk yuk. Will stick to Atkins bars in future, they are a revelation!!

    hi

so im assuming you just fill the shake container with water? will try it thanks.

are you allowed diet coke on this diet or sugar free juice?

will the atkins bars be alright for me to have cos they not on the cs plan?

    many thanks for your help.

Yes just put the water in the shaker then add the powder - I accidentally did it the other way round once and it's harder to mix!

'Diet soft drinks' are allowed but only one a day for the first week.

I bought the Atkins bars after reading everyone else's comments on here - net carbs are a max of 3.5 per bar so they're fine, and taste much better than the CS ones - they're on offer in Boots for the next four weeks, Buy One get 2nd half price; I'm addicted to the cappucino bars for breakfast and snacks, soooo tasty!

If you have any more questions I'm sure one of us can help - good luck!

    Hi All,

Im thinking of starting this in the next few weeks. I hope to lose around 4-5stone.
Just want to ask, is it the diet itself that lets you loose weight or do you need to exercise?

Also, how long do you recon it would take to reach my target?

    xx
