    HI michelle123x

I felt the same this week when i started the diet and i felt really drained but its just ur body adpating to the new diet and not having carbs is a big change to make, it'll be worh it thou just make sure you drink loads of water.
also weighing urself once a week is the best way, i no how u feel cuz ive been really tempted to get on the scales everyday. im having my weigh in 2nite so will let everyone know how i get on cuz its the end of my first week. found it fairly easy thou and really think i can stick to this one :)
ive done my measurements nd ive lost 1 inch from my stomach this week. one inch from my waist. 1.5 from arms and leg which is really good for just a week.

keep up the good work everyone :)
  • wow thats amazin on the inch loss. i expect to lose some around the waist as carbs do make me bloated but wouldnt have expected that loss on arms n legs! do u exercise much. im gunna get bk into the gym as of sunday. was gunna start 2day as felt to bad. headache gone now tho. I very nearly stepped on the scales earlyer but resisted lol.

good luck with the weigh in!!!

    HI michelle123x

I only lost 3 lbs, was expecting more but i didnt exercise this week cuz i havent felt well, i usually try to get to the gym about 3 times a week. I only need to lose about a stone so i expect it'll be harder for me to lose weight cuz some of it is turning to muscle because im exercsing, so im relying on the measurements more.
i was really surpirsed by the measurement as well but i usually eat loads of carbs and i have cut all of them out, which is hard at times, but well worth it.
    :)
    good luck

Well its been my first weekend on CS and there have been loads of temptations!

Went out on Friday but only had 2 halves of diet coke, made sure i drank loads of water before I went out. Saturday and Sunday was quite difficult spending the whole weekend with my boyfriend and staying with him to wake up to the smell of a cooked breakfast sunday morning aaaargh nightmare. And with the gorgeous weather we had a bbq last night, where i eventually gave in and had a hot dog and a burger eeek all that bread!

I have my first official weigh in tomorrow night, but I did sneak onto the scales last night to discover I have lost 8lbs! 12st8-12st! Couldn't believe it after all i had just eaten.

Finding this diet so much easier now my body is getting used to it, and seeing last night that I have lost 8lbs has really got me motivated because it just shows how easy the weight can come off if you try!

I also found out 1 of my friends is doing the cambridge diet and she lost 10lbs in her first week, so we have set ourselves a challenge of prooving whose diet is best! Its good to have a little competition going, keeps you motivated!

    Hope everyone is doing ok!

I started the CS diet last week. Today is day 7 but my official weigh in is not til tomorrow. I cheated this morning and weighed myself (I know slap wrists) and it would appear I've lost about 2kg so far (think that's about 4lbs ish) so I'm very pleased. I only have a stone to lose so I think I'm not going to see the kind of radical weight losses that others with more to lose have experienced. (I already lost 4 stone on my own diet). I have to admit it's been one of the easiest diets I've ever tried. The shakes are really very very filling and I have not had the craving to snack so much on sweet things. I did one day where I had planned a soup for lunch but I desperately wanted something nicer so switched to a chocolate shake instead which seemed to to do the trick. I have to be honest the soups aren't great! But I like most of the other flavours in this order from best to worst: Cafe Latte (yummy) banana, chocolate, strawberry, caramel, vanilla (very watery).

I've been so pleased in fact that I went out today and bought another weeks worth. I think I need to continue another week to see what I can achieve but after that as I will be on maintenance I will need to start watching my weight by myself. It's been difficult cutting out the carbs especially eating with my family. My husband is confounded by my diet and laughed his head off when he made us spaghettie bolognese last week but I only ate the bolognese LOL. And like another poster we had a BBQ on Saturday and I had 2 sausages and a chicken thigh with salad and vegetable kebab but no BUNS which I really missed. Anyway I did it and so I should be proud of myself.

    Hi,

I've finally bitten the bullet and decided to join everyone with this. I started today and already I have a question (sorry I have looked through this thread but couldn't find the answer)
When you have your healthy snack, is it just one of the options or can you have a few?

    Thanks

    Hi Naomi

For a healthy snack i have fruit in a morning, then in the afternoon ill have half a cs bar, if im still hungry then i have some more fruit.

So I suppose it depends on how hungry you feel.

    Hi Guys

Ive done Lipotrim before and I lost 3 stone on that, came off that in Sept 08 and I have managed to maintain my weight. However i want to go on CS however my BMI is borderline healthy/overweight. Do you have to have a BMI of 28+??

    Thanks xxxx

    Hi Loobylooo,

Thanks for that, wasn't sure if there was a limit IYSWIM as I had read people had been eating fruit and cheese with ham etc and wasn't sure if it was supposed to be one or the other or as much as you want.

I will play it be ear and see how I go as I do want to loose quite a bit. x
