Have been having a gander through this thread, and am thinking of trying CS. All seems really positive, but i've got a few questions...

Does it matter, if you have your 'normal' meal at lunch time rather than in the evening?

Has anyone reached their target and gone back to eating normal food - did this go ok?

Is it really worth the money, being a poor student im undecided?

Hi I don't think it matters if you have your normal meal for lunch so long as you have 2 meal replacements and a normal meal within the day.

I have been doing cs for 8 weeks & lost almost 2st. However, for the last 2 weeks, I have been buying a cheaper alternative which has been working equally as well. The nutrients are the same but there are fewer carbs in these. They work out at appx £18 del for 2 boxes of 7 shakes which are the same flavours as cs. They are from http://www.avidlite.co.uk/acatalog/SHAKES.html
They also do other lo carb products which I also buy from them (sweets/snacks etc as a treat)
  • Hi everyone! I've read through everyones posts and have decided to give it a go...I've got a 6month old baby and am trying to lose the 4stone I gained during my pregnancy. I have tried the slimming world diet which for some people is fantastic but didn't work for me..I have also had a go with the Alli tablets that launched a few weeks ago. I'm on beta-blockers and numerous other tablets which haven't helped but with any luck I'll be able to report some fab news and join the many of you who have had fab results!

Well, I bit the bullet and went off to the chemist to get started - they were closing up but when I said what I was there for they welcomed me in! Two of the girls there have already lost weight on it, and they were so helpful, even said they'd swap flavours in the starter pack, so I got two soups to replace the banana shakes.

I took photos and measurements last night as suggested, and was disgusted, I look like a bloody barrel! Yuk. But, at least I'm doing something about it. The chemist weighed me at 11st 5lb and I'd like to get to 10 stone eventually, but aiming for 5lb increments to keep it realistic.

Just drinking my first shake, the caramel one, I've been sipping it for about 40 minutes as I work, very nice but waiting for the hunger to die down - I'll probably go straight to the allowable snack next!

Anyway, I've started now and will keep you updated with my progress, as it was reading other people's that inspired me to go for it in the first place.

    Happy slimming! *crosses fingers
