Hi everyone, I've been reading your messages for a few days now and have just ordered my starter pack online. I'm really desperate to get some pounds shifted as I just keep putting more and more weight on
Your stories have really inspired me so....wish me luck! Hopefully the pack will arrive tomorrow and I can get started!0 -
Good luck! I am on day three now and must admit I cheated yesterday and had a piece of toast but otherwise it's not too hard, especially when you are supposed to eat every couple of hours! Lost a pound already but won't weigh myself now till 7 days are up.must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200

Started this morning, chocolate shake for breakfast, wasn't a huge amount but tasted nice. Then lot and lots of water about 4 litres over the morning I think. Walk round the park at lunchtime, pedometer on. Beef soup for lunch, yummy but tasted like mushroom. Packed a tiny few slivers of beef for snacks and some chopped celery, fennel and lettuce.
I wonder if we can have lots of things like lettuce and celery? I don't think they've got any carbs or calories. Now got to go home and cook for family, and not have a drink!0 -
Yes I think lettuce and celery is fine as no carbs - it's odd that these shakes are as filling as they are - they are quite watery compared to slimfast. I have a friend who is on the cambridge diet and is really struggling (like she scoffed 3 packets of crisps the other day) so I have told her about this one.must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200

Did anyone watch Fix My Fat Head on BBC1 last night? It was really interesting watching Hannahs journey. And also quite sad (rang alot of bells with me anyway). If you missed it you can watch it on BBCIplayer - its worth a look.0

Hi all,
I am on day 2 of the CS diet and just have a few questions regarding snacks and allowable fruit/veg.
I note from the snack ideas that you can have:
30g cottage cheese, 1-2 slices of deli meats (ham and chick);
1 dessert spoon of natural yoguart,
Snack size tin of Tuna;
60 smoked salmon, Ham chicken or egg wrapped in lettuce;
50g avocado, 2 egg whites and 50g of chick deli meat;
half cup of berries;
half apple half peach, half orange or half grapefruit;
celery with spoon of cottage cheese;
30g nuts;
x2 Boiled Egg (1-2 times weekly); and
1/2 CS bar
I have read that you should aim to have 3 servings of fruit/veg per day. Can you have too much in one day? For example mid morning snack: apple,
Mid afternoon snack: 1/2 cup of berries, Evening Meal: 3/4 veg plus 1/4 protein, supper: piece of fruit with LF natural yoguart.
Many thanks and good luck to you all.0 -
I am about a day ahead of you and so far I have lost 2lbs. I have a shake for breakfast and then an apple or pear a couple of hours later, then another shake and then a small egg salad with mayo around 4, and then a light tea at around 8 followed by strawberries. Sometimes I sneak a small piece of cheese as well.
so far this week I have had a prawn and avocado salad (with a bread roll oops) chicken salad, and chicken stir fry.
So far so good - not sure if I am doing it absolutely right, but I don't feel too deprived as shakes do stave off hunger and I have avoided all things biscuity, cakey and chocolatey, but then caramel and chocolate shakes are nice!must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200
