I did the cambridge diet last year and that was shakes and bars no food to begin with and i lost 3 1/2 stones altogether , needless to say i came off and gained 2 stones !! cant afford that diet again so joined the gym hoping to do it myself !
hope u r doing well :T0 -
Hi both of you, sorry I missed your post goldilockz.
Well, 2 months in I've lost 7.5lbs - see my sig!!! I'm well chuffed. And it could have been more, but I've taken weekends off, and Easter, and a week's holiday.I've only been substituting weekday breakfasts and lunches. My flavour is white choc - it tastes fine, I get a little bored of it but it's so easy - I love not having to plan meals during the working week. I'll stick it out for 3 months until the wedding at least!
I've got almost another stone to shift by mid-July so I'm taking it much more seriously now - no more 'days off' the shakes except at weekends, and more exercise!!!
Oh, I also stopped drinking during Feb and lost more that months (4.5lbs) than March (3lbs). Coincidence? I think not! So I'm cutting waaay back on alcohol too.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

I have been reading about Celebrity Slim for the last few days (while snacking on the obilgatory pre diet chocolate!)...and have decided that I am going to do it!:T
I am quite nervous as I have tried and failed many diets before and have ZERO will power!!
I have around 2 stone that I need to lose but I'm thinking it is probably best to take it in baby steps and concentrate on the first stone and worry about the other one down the line!
I'm off to buy the starter pack this evening and may start it on Sunday (I was to really enjoy this weekend before the diet days commence!)0 -
*orla* - just to clarify, I'm not doing CS, I'm taking PHD diet whey shakes. But have heard great reports about CS. Good luck xx7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

I've started Celebrity Slim today.
I bought the starter pack, mainly as I wanted to try all the flavours and get a shaker. After trying it out today, I've also been on approved foods and ordered some cheap Slimm soups and shakes that I can start having whenever they arrive.
I'm desperate to lose the half stone I've gained since moving in with my OH in November, but I could certainly do with dropping another half stone on top of that.
My problem is that I can never be bothered to sort out a healthy lunch in the morning so I end up eating cheap convenient junk from the nearby poundland. (biscuits, chocolate, noodles, etc).
If I have something as simple (and filling) as the shakes and soups then I have no excuse for cheating.0 -
been doing 2 protein shakes per day and a meal at night and lost 4lbs in 4 days !! woooop ! i am dropping 1lb each day and hoping it continues that way !!!0

Ok so into week two of the cs diet...and I'm surviving!
In the first 6 days I lost an amazing 6 lbs! I can't believe how well it is working and how easy it is to sick by!
I was quite naughty yesterday as I couldn't turn down a big Sunday lunch but beside that I've kept on track...I'm pleasently surprised with myself!! :j0 -
thats great keep up the good work , its so worth it x :j0

Hi all,
I am currently in Australia for 6 months and feeling horrible when I look at all the slim and beautiful Australian women, so decided to try CS. I have tried lots of other diets but always give up, telling myself that I'm not THAT fat and that life is too short. But it's really getting me down now, and with summer coming I want to be able to feel good in my bikini!
So far have tried the banana and choc-caramel shakes (both low-carb) and the choc&nut snack bar, all of which I really enjoyed. I think I might struggle with the evening meal as I dont often have time to make something too creative - any ideas of easy meals v.welcome!!
Great to read all your posts - keep updating us on how you are getting on.
Good luck to everyone.
