  • Heard of Celebrity Slim before and saw it a few times on the shelves in my local chemists. Always wondered what the results would be on such a diet. An avid member of Groupon I saw CS tablets on offer today and was just wondering if any changes would be seen in my weight/health purely off the tablets? Or maybe mixing the tablets with my Slim Fast shakes which I already have for breakfast and snacks throughout the day.

    Any feedback appreciated :)

I bought 4 packs of shakes at a fiver each from amazon.

I've always seen CS on the shelves in superdrug and have always been a bit curious about it. So decided to take the plunge and purchase some.

I've decided that i'm not going to follow the diet as one should. There will be days when i have food for breakfast and lunch rather than just shakes.

I exercise about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (sometimes more.) I'm trying to avoid gaining back all the weight once i come off the shakes.

Me too, got the shakes from Amazon, 8 boxes!! Dried ingredients, so I will use them even after the sell by date..

Also ordered the capsules, just away to try and find out how to take them, etc.

Stopped smoking 15 months agao and like Amy 83 I have about 30 lbs to get rid of, I have gone from a size 10 to having to buy a size 16 trousers this week, not happy about that!!!!

I have been on every diet and could teach classes on each of them, my plan this time is a week on slimming world then a week on Celeb Slim.

My thoughts are I wont think I am missing out too much if its a week at a time, and I can work this around social occasions and sticking to red days.

Good luck to us all and keep the chins up : )

    hello everyone!!

I too got the cheapy ones from Amazon.. I ordered a weeks worth and then decided to order another!

was absolutely no point in me starting them over the weekend when the first lot arrived on Thursday last week and I felt a bit naff yesterday, so I started today..

Well I say that..... I cannot face breakfast first thing, so it was about 11am when I had my first one this morning... I was actually pleasantly surprised with the taste of them (probably cause they are made with water instead of milk - so were less likey to make me 'gag'), so I hope I will be able to have one when I get back from the school run tomorrow!

I didn't have my second one today though :( .. I picked my youngest up from nursery at 12 and then had to go shopping and get supplies for the pets etc so it was almost 3pm when we got back. I wasn't hungry when I got back but I was ready for my dinner this evening...

I went on the wiifit to weigh myself today (it was 152 days since I last went on the thing!! :o) but I do intend to try and get on it a few times a week! I really want to lose about 3 stone!

Have been paying for weightwatchers online subscription since January 2010 and have not even done it! :o

I really hope this stuff gives me the motivation to get going (I am one of those people that gives up if I can't see any results quick enough!)

So, good luck to the rest of you starting Celebrity Slim!!! Let's hope we can all 'motivate' each other!!

    xx

EDIT: oops, sorry for the long post!

I found myself really quite hungry today. I have been having a slimfast for breakfast for a couple of weeks before today and found them quite filling.
Anyway, shake, clementine, shake, clementine. By 6pm I was almost eating my fingers. Went shopping, and on the way home I ate 5 slices of cold meat : (
Chicken breast and veg for tea.
A small handfull of pine nuts and a glass of wine.
And an early night methinks. Sooo tired.
Am I totally off kilter here?
Off to look at meals and snacks, love clementines but everyday will become boring I suspect.

Hi HopePray, how many days have you been on it?
For the first few days I felt pretty cruddy, all I could think about was foodfoodfoodfoodfood.

Maybe try a bit more variation in your snacks, clementines would get a bit repetative and they don't really fill you up. A little (30g) block of cheese, grated, with a few lettuce leaves almost tricks you into thinking you've got a salad. Have you got the book? There's plenty of ideas in there for snacks, but I personally tend to lean towards the protein/filling snacks more than the sweet ones - which surprises me as I (used to?) have a really sweet tooth

Are you managing to drink all your water too? I'm on day 10 now, and the few days I've not managed the 3l of water are the days I've felt really hungry and struggled the most. It definately helps if you can get it all down you! (though doesn't help for the toilet trips, I'm sure my colleagues think I'm moving into the bathroom, the amount of time I spend it there!)

Good luck everyone, I lost 4lbs in my first week..cheated a little bit (couldn't resiste yorkshire puds or chocolate torte on Sunday!) so am really happy with my results!

    Hi Amy,
    Yesterday was my first day.
I slept for 9.5 hours last night, unheard of normally, so was a bit late for work, no time to make a shake, so had a mullerlite for breakfast. And a shake near lunchtime.
I had chicken, mixed veg and mushrooms for tea.
Not much to eat today, not feeling very well, I had to come home from work, still worked, but did reports from my comfy chair.
Terrible headache too, though I expected that, oh and the dog breath, expected that too :-) Still a better smell than the fags though ;-)

Sorry, not that I can see, but will keep a watch for you, I did 1 box on amazon, thought again and ordered another 3, another thought and ordered another 4 : )
I used sachets of cambridge last year that were 3 years out of date and they were fine, so I figured that even if I took a couple of years these would be fine.
Have a look on e bay, I think some were off amazon but are cheaper than the shops.

Could you use standard whey protein shake used for body building instead? Or are there essential additives in this that /i would need?

I've just started on the whey protein - PHD diet whey it's called. Two shakes a day and then a normal dinner. This morning was fine, no hunger at all, but now I'm starting to feel v. hungry - had my second shake at 1:30 and I can't wait for dinner!!!! I so need to lose weight for my wedding and this is going to give me a kick start (I hope).

Will I feel weirdy/headachy at first? I do feel a little tired today but my stomach feels lighter and not as bloated (I am normally a terrible snacker).
