  • Hi I was looking for a way to kick start my diet in the new year and was using the internet to research and find reviews on the cost and effectiveness of the different shake diets. I came across this one and thought since I have now started celebrity slim I would add to it to give you a little bit more info if you are doing the same.

A 7 day pack of shakes costs around £25 and contains 14 shakes. You replace two meals a day with them or a meal bar (not used them so don't know cost but easy to find on pharmacy web site). You then have 1 healthy main meal (no carbs e.g potatos, rice or pasta). You can also have 3 small snacks through the day e.g tangerine, yogurt, sliced meat.

I couldn't find how much weight you were meant to lose (probably because everyone is different). I have now been on it for 2 and a half weeks. The first week I lost 8lb, the 2nd I lost 2 lb and this 1/2 week I have lost 2 1/2 lb.

I am finding it easy to stick to so far and once you get used to the bit of a strange after taste in the shakes they are actually really nice.
It is definitely not a cheap way to lose weight but it has worked so far so I'm going to carry on until I can't face another shake! :j

I found similar Lettie - its really good for a quick weight loss fix - for people like me with zero willpower who need to see the weight drop off to keep going, the shakes are really yummy (though im going to give the biggest loser ones a go maybe) and easy for me when i need to rush about in the mornings - i know its not ideal, but the fact that I can have it in the car on my way to the horses in the morning makes it easy!!

i really need to get my !!!! in gear and get back on them properly, ive just tried about 1000 calories a day for two weeks, been pretty good but ive managed to put weight on !!! Low carb (and the shakes really feel like a treat!) really seems to work for me.

Right I am going to have a go at this! I bought a weeks supply off amazon for 8.99 and its arrived I will start tomorrow as have been doing my own diet since last Sunday and want to see if I have lost any weight on it! I weighed 14st 9lb last sunday and am 5'5 with a BMI of 34! Classed as obese! That hurt!
Anyway as I dint buy a starter pack I havent got all the info but have been gathering it from here and the CS forums so hopefully will be ok and if I get on with it I will buy more! The only thing is I only eat chicken and turkey, no red meat, as I was veggie once but after pregnancy still craved chicken so caved and now call myslef a birdetarian! lol So other than repetitive meals does anyone think this will be a problem?

I just started on Celebrity slim to give myself a little kick up the backside and motivation with a bigger loss. (seems to work, lost 4 lbs in less than a week)
I was on weight watchers before for 2 years and did quite well losing weight, lost 44 but gained 12lbs back.

Obviously I know I can't stay on the shakes forever and am planning on going back to Weight Watchers, how much of a weight gain do I have to expect when coming off the shakes?

Thanks, that's not too bad as I'm planning on going back to Weight Watchers right afterwards(still paying my online subscription so might as well use it)

  • as long as u keep the water intake up i think u will be ok , also remember on cs u rnt eating much food at all but on ww u will be eating 3 meals per day so obv u will weigh more as u will have the food inside u , where usually your stomach is practically empty ! thats how i look at it anyway lol
    good luck x
  • stupid me thought i had bought some meal replacement bars but now found out theyre only snack bars !! no wonder theyre so small !! the yogurt and berry one tastes like paper ! yuk , choc one is yummy tho ! lol

Im on my first week still.
I had nothing yesterday because i felt really sick all day.

Todays Groupon is the CS weight management capsules, so i have ordered 3 boxes.

Is anyone signed upto the cs website? The forum is great, it really motivates me seeing the before and after photos!

I'm on day 5 of CS, and so far (which has surprised me!) I'm finding it ok. I'm not missing carbs too much, and I quite like all the shakes I've tried so far (vanilla, banana and strawberry).

How much is everyone aiming to loose? I'm trying to get 30lbs shifted, eeekkk!
