Thing is - its expensive to buy the boxes, but if you actually worked it out its not a whole lot more than if you were to buy lunch every day at work - and this works, and works quickly so its good for people who need to see weight coming off to keep motivated.

well done - hope you stay happy on this until you dont need it any more :)

On www.rowlandspharmacy.co.uk The 4Him week mixed pack is £5 and starter pack is £7.50.
Also a weeks Chocolate (pink box) is £10!

just to note teh mixedd 4him box has changed from the last offer

    it now includes
    3 x Chocolate, 5 x Vanilla Malt, 5 x Mocha Coffee, 1 x Toffee Crunch
rather than the more choc, no toffee and less mocha i had last time

I hate coffee so the mocha was a no go for me so seems like the choc pack may be a better option for me

Hi,looking to start this after reading some of this thread but wanted to ask a few questions.

I see that you don't completely cut out carbs but was wondering if anyone has managed meals with potatoes without ruining the diet? ( I love potatoes and pasta tbh)

Also, how sustainable has your weight loss been after finishing the diet? How did you move yourself onto normal food for all meals and did you all put the weight back on doing so?

What kind of meals do you have on the diet?

Sorry for the questions, just wanted to hear before I part with my money!I have a couple of stone to lose, did lose some on slimfast but after giving up smoking it went back on LOL,and would love a good kick start to it

  • Hi,
My friend has been doing this and her weight loss has inspired me. Looking through the starter leaflet you get one of the side affects is the "dull headache" i suffer from headaches and am just a wee bit concerned that it will floor me... does anyone have any input?
    Thanks!
  • Hi Neisy
I've just started this diet - never done a meal replacement one before so have nothing to compare it to. However it's not cheap which is a motivation to stick to it so I'm not wasting my money completely!
Yes, you can get a headache: I took a couple of paracetamols and kept making sure I was drinking enough water. I also have regular headaches and I was okay with the CS added one. I'm now getting to week 2 and will get my weigh-in at the pharmacy this week so hoping that the shock I had of my starting weight will be lessened! I did feel a bit light headed in the afternoons as well but that was overcome when I had a allowable snack. Ah that word, allowable.

Shegirl: I love potatoes, bread and pasta myself so was worried how I would manage. To my surprise, I find that eating a meal without these is less difficult than I had thought. Plus yesterday (6th day of diet) I felt too full halfway through my (low-carb) meal and had to stop. That's rarely happened to me before! Main thing is to continue to eat allowable vegetables at you main meal or for snacks otherwise your digestive system gets a little, well, slow. I am vegetarian so my meals are often based on eggs or vegetables with cheese. Long-term I don't know. The booklet you get with the starter box does give you an idea about the maintance stage of the diet - basically I think it's just cutting out or down on high-carb foods.
  • Hi all,
Well, I've read through all 78 pages and have taken the plunge and started this morning. As you say, the shakes are surprisingly nice. I'm worried about the headaches and issues such as bad breath/toilet issues but I've got to do something different to lose the weight.

This post is just to say hello and thanks for the inspirational stories - pleased to see it seems to be starting up again - special Hi to Pema as you're just ahead of me. We can do this!

  • Hi all, I'm starting the CS diet soon, just ordered online.
Is there any certain food you have to eat for dinner? I will be having the shakes for breakfast & lunch.
Is there anybody still here that's been on the diet for a while? Would love to find out how you got on
  • Hi all, lost 5lbs in Week 1, so thrilled :)

Also found mixed boxes for 10 days reduced in Superdrug (£15 instead of £32). I asked why and was told because the best before date is end of Oct 2011. I bought two boxes as I'll get through them before end of Oct and having them gives me no choice in completing the weeks! However, when I got them home and checked the sachets I found none were best before end Oct - the ones with the shortest date are before end Nov this year. Others last a year. So have a look at any boxes reduced and look inside to see the actual dates as you can save a fortune this way.
