  • Hi Guys,

Well the weekend wasn't to bad I did fail on Saturday night and had a BK on the way home from a night out but was good as I only had three drinks (not had any other alcohol this week) which is exceptionally good for me! Also had a apple turn over for pudding on Sunday, but had been working in the garden so hopefully balances out! Got on the scales this morning and I'm 189.6lb so under 190 for the first time in a year :o

  • Hi guys

Really good luck with this. I've tried it myself, followed it to a T. However, as a busy single Mum I found that I couldn't afford to put up with the crippling headaches and the feeling of complete detatchment I got from it!

It's not suitable for everybody, everyone is individual and a low carb diet (and that's EXACTLY what it is. The carbs that are there are in the form of sugar and as someone with hypoglycaemia, it caused some seriously undesirable effects) is not for me.

I'm quite an athletic person and lost a stone in 12wks by hopping on a cross-trainer for 20mins 3 times a week, I didn't change my diet and certainly didn't have any ill effects.
To be frank, I was being lazy by trying CS as I knew how to lose the weight, I just couldn't be bothered.
It has opened my eyes and I have realised that I do need to change my way of eating. Suffice to say, the cross trainer has been de-robed of coats and is now back in use!

For those who are getting headaches, try switching your 'normal meal' to lunchtime. I found that I had a good intake of carbs until 2pm via the CS products, after that I had nothing and ended up with a full on migraine type headache in the evening.

Good luck to those trying it and for those who suit it, you're very lucky. However, I'll say one thing.........

....listen to your body. If you don't feel right, stop and try something else.

Well bit disappointed as it hasn't arrived yet and now I have laryngitis so need the willpower more than ever.
  • Hey guys I thought I would let you know how I'm doing so far I've lost 8lb!:j I can't quite believe it started off at 196lbs this morning 188lbs! I know it will probably slow down now but its a great start. first goal is 180lbs

Feeling fine on the plan, I am missing bread and potatoes but not enough to make me stop although I have a end date set rather than a weight goal to make me stick it for the next 6 weeks

    Started CS this morning finally.

Had a shake and a green tea at breakfast.
Snack was some cucumber sticks and strawberries
    Lunch CS veg soup
    Snack CS snack bar
    Dinner pork and veg

Also had 2 litres of water so far
I felt awful all day not sure if it's the cold I have but felt quite shaky and lethargic also had terrible stomach pains and loose movements after the shake and soup.

I've read the book that came with my starter pack and think tomorrow I may have some protein for my snacks such as some tuna and an egg which may be more filing.

I was certainly ready for my dinner and if it carries on like this I wouldn't be able to continue.

    Any advice would be great
  • it is possibly the diet making u feel like this but think it ill settle down in a few days , good luck x
  • today i bought some celebrity slim rocky road snack bars ! omg u gotta try them !!!!

    found this for u online

So what were the results? We lost weight! If you are strict with the diet, the results will be fairly instant. There are a few side effects in the first week. You may experience headaches and feel a bit lethargic for a few days but this will pass. These side effects are simply the withdrawl symptoms you are experiencing from cutting down on your sugar intake, and are a sign that the diet is working, so stick it out until these side effects pass.

Day 4 today and not feeling any better.

Trying to alter the times of my shakes a little but feeling very lethargic still. I don't think the cold helps either.

I will see the week through but at this rate 7 weeks will be intolerable
