Like so many other shake diets, this is a crash diet.
What's going to happen when you start eating food again? These things are really unhealthy

I'm thinking CS is just a kick start. I have to say that last time I went on a diet the progress was so slow I was easily discouraged. I was planning on doing Pilates as well to tone up....;)..............................................................................

Pilates is a great start to exercise and muscle building. Get some cardio in there too
I think you'll find you don't have the energy to exercise if you're on a crash diet, so maybe start swapping helthy food back in once you've had your kick start?
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I am walking (about 1.5 to 2hrs) daily to build up my stamina. I put on my headphones and put on some great music to get the rhythym going.;) I'm actually starting the diet next week. These two past weeks I've been doing removals and didn't even have a cooker yet...............................................................................

LOL you don't need a cooker for CS - just a kettle!
I started CS on Monday and have lost 6 pounds! :j
I feel absolutely fine apart from a headache & feeling flu-ish for a couple of days, which was only to be expected as your body adjusts and detoxes. And I wasn't even sticking to it that rigorously - I didn't realise that melon was banned until day 3 and had been having a massive fruit salad with it for my mid-morning snack! I'm also struggling to drink all the water required daily but hopefully making up for it with decaf green tea.
We're eating out tonight but I'm so pleased with my progress that I'm determined to make sensible food choices and keep the alcohol to a minimum - now that I've got rid of the headache I'm not going to anything silly to induce another one.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Wold anyone care to report back on progress? I am thinking about going on this diet. Another question? Do you really need the programme guide?
I was on it (on and off and not sticking to it religiously) for about 6 months last year.
I've lost 2 1/2 stone and have for the past 4 or 5 months managed to keep it off (I'm now Clean Eating to stay healthy) In the end, I was slowly moving away from the shakes and just making the "snacks" in between a little bit larger and more meal like, so eventually instead of relying on the shakes I learnt properly about healthy food / what you need for sustenance.
It isn't a life plan, but it can be the kick start you need to put you on the right track. My carb intake is now a lot lower than it was (I was eating carbs every meal, now it's for 1 or 2 meals a day), and I'm eating a lot more fruit and veg than I ever did. I know that Celebrity Slim made me take a much closer look at what I had been eating.
Give it a go, if it works then great, if it doesn't then try something elseThe first few days were a bit hellish, but after that it gets much easier.
And I'd definitely get the programme guide if I were you, it can seem daunting enough starting such a restrictive plan, but if you're fully aware of all the rules and know all the snacks/foods you can and can't have, it makes it much easier, so you can go into it calmly rather than panicking.Aiming for that elusive 'debt free' by Christmas 2012

Thank you for your honest views about this diet. Your weight loss is very impressive. I've got about 1 1/2 stone to loose. I liked the way you talked about how you got away from the shakes once you lost the weight and how you changed your views about food. Very interesting post. Why don't you try a diet that's not gimmicky and gives you plenty of nutrients without a vast amount of unnecessary chemicals too? Paleo/primal/simply eating less crap?

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt (literally, in some cases). Please understand that what works for some people doesn't work for others, and most of us are grown ups who can read the list of ingredients and make up our own minds. It would be appreciated if instead of trying to sabotage our efforts you could be a bit more supportive and constructive.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Please understand I'm not trying to sabotage anyone's weight loss efforts - I'd just rather see people not hit in the pocket or on the health side of things. I've edited my first sentence which was written in anger, and the kind of thing people used to say to me when I did SlimFast.
I'm actually coming from the fact that I've done 2 shake/soup diets and put the weight back on with a % interest, and now that I'm following a sensible eating plan with lots of exercise I feel healthier and look fitter than I ever have.
Good luck. I think you may need it in the long term!
