Hi Everyone,
Day 2 !! Not doing to bad at all. Had the chocolate shake for breakfast which I was not looking forward to as I hate chocolate milkshake but it was quite nice !! Then I had half an apple for snack !!
I had the chicken soup for dinner which to be honest was not very nice in my opinion so might save the other one till the end, hold my nose and hope for the best !!
Other half of the apple then Cajun chicken and salad which was lovely !!
Not feeling too bad at all really and been shopping tonight to get loads of stuff out the book like nuts and stuff for snacks on hand !!
Come on guys we can all do this !!!!
Any easy ideas for tea would be appreciated !!0 -
I had a piece of chicken and salad which was really boring !! I need to start using more herbs and stuff to make things taste better.
Will have a good think about teas and post anything I can think of !
Good Luck.xx0 -
I just couldn't help myself I wanted to know if it was working so I weighed myself on the Wii this morning. This is my 3rd day, and I've lost 3lbs
. And since my 1st weigh in I've started my Star few days, so I usually balloon holding water.
I enjoy the soups and the meal replacement bars, but struggle a little on the shakes. I've found that using water from the fridge makes it easier to drink. I really wanted a meal replacement bar for breakfast this morning but I felt that it wasn't as healthy as a shake, so I think I went for the better option.
Had another lovely tea last night, salad with turkey steak and bacon, both no fat on and I cooked it in a little spray olive oil and seasoned with herbs and spices from store cupboard, served hot with a little very low fat mayo (I think this was ok to have).
I prefer salad to cooked veg but does anybody know if I can have the steamed veg microwave packets? Some have herb butter but some are plain.0 -
A big well done to you all! Looks interesting but I have some questions
1 is it suitable for a type 2 diabetic?
2 whats the difference between buying this and say the Tesco shake stuff in a big tub and having 2 plus a healthy evening meal (no carbs) plus fruit and water in the day?
3 how do you maintain your weightloss, rather than piling it all back on and more, after acheiving the desired results?
4 Is there a similar option that is cheaper? Eg Le Diet etc?
I have quite a lot to loose and am looking at all my options.
ThanksFailure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

Hi all, I've been reading all about this diet. I don't actually want to lose too much, just the extra couple of pounds that I can't seem to shed no matter how much I go to the gym and eat right.
I'm thinking of trialilng it for 2 weeks at the moment and see how I get on. I was just wondering if anyone had any bad experiences? I am interested to know what you all think as it seems like you are all doing so wonderfully well in losing weight (congrats to you all!)
Any advice would be welcomed!
Also in reading this, it's nice to know it's a low carb, low sugar diet because those are my bodies enemies!!! My nutritionist has said to really try and reduce sugar!

Hello my fellow CSers!! lol
Just thought I'd drop in with an update on how I am doing and pass on a few hints and tips on what I have found helpful.
I started CS on the 1st of July at a weight of 20st 13lb, and today, 29 days later I was thrilled to 'jump' on the scales and see 18st 13lb...........meaning I had lost 2 stone in just one month!!!!
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Daily intake:
Breakfast - Shake with fibre sachet
10.30am - Small apple
Lunch - Shake with fibre sachet
3.30pm - Small pear
Dinner (before 7pm) - healthy meal (one of those menus listed below....)
Tips:
- Buy yourself a 2ltr bottle of water and fill up every morning so you know how much you have drunk - drinking a minimum of 2ltr is a necessity to ensure that the burnt off fat has a way of flushing out....
- Keep a small bottle of water in the fridge as the shakes are so much more delicious when using ice cold water - really refreshing!
- To prevent any constipation problems and to help fill you up even more, then do use the fibre sachets as I have found them a huge help!
- Drink your shake through a straw - it seems to last longer and fills you up at a slower pace.
- Keep a bottle of Pepsi Max in the fridge - have a glass whenever you have any 'sweet' cravings......it really does work!!
- Just 30 minutes of walking/exercise bike per day helps to tone you up (and burn off some calories.....) - I didnt start any exercise until my fourth week but it really gave me the boost I needed.
Before starting this healthy eating plan, I would eat takeaways and crisps, lots of chocolate and more chocolate............now when I get 'obsessed' with thinking about food, I get on the internet to search for low carb foods and plan menus and shopping lists for the week! The perfect distraction!!
Here are a few meals that I have made and eaten over the past four weeks - favourites marked with a * :
*- Cod with parsley sauce (frozen) and broccoli
- Cheesy mushroom omelette and salad
- Chicken cooked in fajita spices on large mushrooms with sour cream
* - Chicken chopped and cooked in fajita spice with roasted vegetables
* - Steak and salad
- Gammon and egg with Sugar snap peas, tomatoes and mushrooms
* - Homemade burgers with cheese and salad
- Ham and Cheese Ploughmans with Pickle salad (no bread of course!)
* - Tuna Mayo and spring onion salad
* - Steak and Broccoli sprinkled with cheese
- Chicken stirfry with loads of beansprouts
* - Peppercorn chicken (Jar of sauce) with sugar snap peas and green beans
- Bacon with scrambled egg and mushrooms
*** - Chicken breast stuffed with garlic/herb philadelphia wrapped in parma ham and salad
Now you can see why I have not missed bread, potatoes, pasta or rice - after a couple of days you soon get used to sticking to protein and veg!
Anyway, sorry if I have waffled on but I have read from the above postings that quite a few of you are after some hints and tips and hopefully the above information will help.
If you have any questions, please just ask and I will try and do my best to help where I can!
Happy CSing!!!!:):):):)
p.s. My DH has been supporting me with this and has lost 18lb too in the last 4 weeks - as a couple that totals 46lb, goodness me thats a lot of bags of sugar!!!!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Hello all
I've been reading all the prev posts (yeah all 64-65 pages of 'em!) and felt compelled to sign-up! Well done to all you 'losers', you've done so well! Lucysmummy---you rock!
I've been on Cambridge before (twice) and really didn't get on well with it, perhaps I wasn't in the right mind-set. I wanted to try CS when I saw the advert last year, but glad I waited, as can now pop into Superdrug to get it.
I've tried most of the shakes and really like them! Fave so far is cafe latte. I'm really not into the Banana or Carmel, but seeing as I got a few in my taster pack guess I'll have to use them when I desperate or something. Gonna move onto the soups this weekend as I'm looking to start properly this coming week. I thought it would be best to introduce this to myself in little steps so it's not such a shock.
I've noticed most of you get weighed at the pharmacy, is this something Rowlands does for you? Or is it just a case of popping on the scales a-la Boots? I'm not sure exactly where I am at the moment, but safe to say I can give a scotch-egg a run for it's money on the roundness stakes.
Good Luck to all the other newbies!! Another well done to everyone, keep it up
