    Hi all
I'm starting CS tomorrow 26th July. Just asking if anyone has any advice that will help me? I have over 5 stones to lose but the main weight loss at the moment is for my wedding in 6 weeks. That's my focus, then its honeymoon, then if it has worked well for me I will get back on the diet. Can I ask some questions of experienced CS's?
Can I have a peach fat free activia as a snack?
Does this sound like a good day
    B - Shake
    S - Allowed fruit
    L - Shake
    S - Yogurt
D - Chicken & salad (should meat be weighed)
    S - CS snack bar
I have quickly read book and will do properly but would like personal advice and I don't like the CS forum page.
    Good luck to all.

Hi bride9be - good luck !! you will probably find that you will lose quite a bit of weight fairly quickly - then it may slow a little. Most important thing is to keep drinking the water - it really does help with the weightloss - and speaking from experience, you REALLY dont want CS constipation.... ;)

as for the yogurt - have a look at the carb content. at the end of the day, CS is a low carb diet - so the lower the carb content, the more likely you are to be "allowed" it. it wont stop you losing weight if you add something with a higher carb amount - but it will slow you down - so maybe keep them to once or twice a week as a treat if they are high??

very very best of luck with it, the book is quite helpful - as are the people on this thread - I did it last year - so all my posts are early on in the thread - but if you start from the beginning, there are lots of really helpful tips and advice in here!! also have a look at the low carb thread too - there are ideas an recipes there that are also handy.

  • Hello again

Well done to all of you who have decided to give CS a go - Just thought I would give you an update since I lost 16lb in my first week - well I have been using CS for 4 weeks and to date have lost 24lb..........16lb the first week, 3lb the second, 2lb the third and 3lb the fourth.

This weight loss so far is without exercise but to give the loss a bit of a boost I am going to get on exercise bike to see how it goes!

A nice steady loss is what I am after though as I guess I stand a better chance of keeping the weight off..........keeping off those carbs has been really easy so far......and I am really enjoying making
meals from fresh ingredients for a change (not a ready meal in site!!!)

Have suffered a tad with constipation but phoned the CS helpline (who were great btw) and they advised to use the fibre sachets in each shake and have a small apple for each of my snacks - worked a treat and boy oh boy, those shakes are so filling with the fibre added!

Will let you know how I get on this week by adding the exercise - wish me luck!! :D

Hi Lucysmummy (which by the way, I could be called that, I have a little Lucy too) wow 16lbs in a week!?! Can I ask have you found your weight loss on CS to be as you expect to your size wise, for example did you drop a size after 16lbs loss.
This might sound silly but I need to restrict my size loss a little, I'm getting married in 6 weeks and I want to lose 1 to 1.5 sizes in clothes and flatten the tummy. My holiday clothes will fit better, but the wedding dress must also fit, it is corseted so a little loss will be good.
Do the fibre sachets slow down weight loss or more likely to speed it up?
It's only my first day on CS and finding it fine so far, just seeing it as something that must be done. When I'm tempted Im just going to think about my wedding and honeymoon, looking good and the food I'll enjoy more in America and an Caribbean cruise = WEIGHT LOSS FOCUS:j
  • Hi everybody, i've been reading and reading this forum from start to finish over the past few days and have ordered my starter pack which came today. I am starting the diet tomorrow and really motivated to succeed.
I am really impressed with the comments from others and also shocked (in a good way) to hear about the achievements of weight loss from other members. I hope i can follow in their footsteps!
Well, i'm 25 years old, size 18, 165cm in height and weigh approximately 16stone (need to confirm weight tomorrow morning).
I am looking to lose a few dress sizes before xmas and thought that this diet would be an ideal way of making a start!
I will be logging into this forum on a daily basis and recording my ups and downs and ask for your support throughout. I've tried most diets previously and always fail... i just don't seem to have the willpower to carry on, but this time i am determined!!!!
Anyway, i'll let you know how i get on over the next couple of days and keep you posted! xxxx

What did you have for your tea? Its my first day, I read the book, but still not sure I fully understand what I can and can't have. I think I had an allowed tea, it was very tasty. I had beef in chilli ( just used different dried spices from store cupboard) and little red wine vinegar, marinated for 30 mins then cooked quick in wok. Served with salad or lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pepper & red onion. I hope its ok to have cos I will be having it again. My hubby to be had the same but I did him a jacket potato to go with it.
  • As per my post yesterday, i have started. And shock horror, i don't weigh 16 stone, i actually weigh 17.5!!! Not good!

I have started this today and started off with the vanilla shake which was really good. I don't even feel hungry!

I'll keep you updated, but i think i will be struggling with meal ideas, so if anyone has any varied and tasty recipes i'd love to hear them! x

    hi all
newbie on this part of MSE- have been reading great things about CS and I need to lose about 2 stone- mainly for my wedding next year- but also because I want to look good for and with myself

I'm vegetarian- so that's my first question- is it ok for that?- i assume apart from the meat soups that it is

Also- what happens when you get to your ideal weight- do you just then go back to how your normally eat- this is my problem with diets, i try for a while and then go back to how i was- weight wise and eating wise

so any1 got your ideal weight, and go back to old habits?

well done to all aswell- hope i am as successful
Is a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!
