Survived a full week at work but felt a bit down in the dumps for most of it, wanted to go home and hide under the duvet so consequently have done nothing at home after work

Off to see friends and parents later this afternoon and as its sunny nowI'm going to go and sit outside in the sun with a brew and warm myself up and get some free vitamins

Must buck up ideas this week and start cleaning/DIY the house, keep telling myself every little bit helps but this isn't getting me off the settee to start doing it :rotfl:

Think I'll have to find the job book and make a list, could post it on here then you can all shout (encourage me)

I bet the reason you're down in the dumps is becuase you're really tired - you've been mega busy recently with all that housey stuff. Sounds like you're doing amazingly well though - send some motivation this way!

Excited over spring onions - what next

Another non eventful week but as its September on Tuesday I will try harder to be good until the end of the year

Forgot - ordered some cinema tickets/pizza express vouchers with Tesco club card points, so free night out soon

Weekend at home, first one for 6 weeks and its sunny - bliss

Trying to balance jobs that need doing with chilling out at home and seemed to work quite well yesterday

Boyfriend cut grass, but as it was so long (and wet) it had to have another cut last night after drying out

3 loads of washing done and dried on line but now huge ironing pile, should really tackle that today. Need to wash bed but the sun hasn't come out

Tiles chipped off kitchen and taken to tip along with an assortment of broken garden chairs, trying to think why I had kept them, plus some pieces of broken shelves from when we stripped the hall the other month

Worked out OP's for this year and its just over 2K (forgot I was OP £102 each month on mortgage payment day)

Have counted £2 jar which has £88 in it, but mainly as I have been throwing £1 coins in as well, need money bags so it can be bagged and banked. Must then count silver and bronze money pots, hoping theres at least £10 between them. Used to put all my change into the brew machine at work but now take in coffee, sugar and milk as its very cost effective

Balance of work/chill time is slightly leaning more to the chill time but

    Bedding in wash

Checked credit card on line and balance is £0, so big chunk of kitchen paid off without incurring any interest

Loan for kitchen has been confirmed that its interest free for 6 months, so have set up minimum payment on that, and marked date in diary to pay off the balance in full so don't get charged any interest

3 very ripe bananas have been made into a smoothie for me and boyfriend and very nice it was to, probably the bit of sugar I added. Normally these would have been left and then thrown away

Have food in house to make dinners for work all week, so no excuse to go to the canteen

Get paid on Tuesday, (just added that as it's nice to type) but slightly down due to the last months lay off days

Have decided to blitz the house this week (and probably next) the idea is to attack each room and clean/sort to within an inch off its life, this is code for hoping to find some money tucked away somewhere

So now wondering why I'm still sat on the computer, not literally though

Mini blitz in bedroom lead to finding £4.67 in a bag which has now been distributed between the various money pots

I also ordered Economy Gastronomy cook book as I still have some birthday money to spend, I'm hoping that this will encourage me to cook better once kitchen is finished, since I hate cooking and then having to wash up after a full day at work, but I can just load the dishwasher when the kitchen is done

Lots of ironing done last night, but not all, as it was to hot, so need to finish that tonight

    Plans for this evening
    Blitz bathroom
    Finish of bedroom
    Finish of ironing
Work out whats is the freezer that I can eat when kitchen is being done

If feeling really strong, I might pull out the fridge in the kitchen and strip the wallpaper off

    Sheer bliss.

I had to wait a year before I could use mine (after purchasing it with MFI Clubcard Deals vouchers), because OH took ages to make some minor modifications to the kitchen set-up.

Keep up the good work. :T

Still slacking on everything (apart from being on the Internet :rotfl:)

Septembers OP has gone out of my bank account, think according to my spreadsheet that takes me under 29K

Another 5 lay-off days at work announced, 5 in October but work have stated that 3 will come off Novembers pay and 2 off Decembers pay. Positive note one of the days is the day my kitchen starts, need to ring and confirm installation date and see what day the kitchen is being delivered.

Still quite a bit to do in the kitchen/dining room before it get ripped out, I see a busy weekend in the near future

Looking at finance, think I can max out my ISA this month for the year, without having to worry about being short of money for the kitchen

Well done on OP despite your extra days off. I hope the kitchen work goes well.
