Drop half a stone for January Challenge!

i've put on 1.5lb this week, and i won't be weighing again until next monday - so i have failed in losing 7lb in january
i'm a bit disappointed really, because i actually tried really hard not to overeat when i went over to my friend's on saturday and i thought i'd done really well. i at least thought that i'd been good enough for the rest of the week and restricted enough on saturday to stay the same, rather than gain 1.5lb!!
i'm hoping it will drop back off again for next week and the February challenge.0 -
Don't get too dishearthened, if you've been truly good with only one or two blips its probably not weight that will stay around, stick with it this week and you should pull it back fairly quickly!0

becca2008 - don't be disheartened! Maybe try weighing again on Saturday (31st) and see? Otherwise just get psyched up for February!!!!!

How about posting a final weigh in on here on Monday next week and then nipping straight over to the other thread and starting afresh?
Having only lost a pound myself this month I need to do something next month!

Well done everyone.
I weighed in this morning and had loss 1lb, that's 5lb since I started 3 weeks ago. Need to loose 2 lbs before final weigh in on Saturday morning.0 -
Well I weighed this morning and I've stayed the same. Better than gaining but it means I have to lose 1.5 lbs by Sat!!! Not sure thats gonna happen but I'll give it a shot. Lots of exercise is the plan this week, did Davina DVD yesterday and I'm a bit stiff from it today, not as bad as I was last week when I did it for the first time! Will also go swimming on Thursday and will try to do a dvd again this week.0

I'm also struggling this month. I've only lost 2lb so far - actually I had lost 4lb, but I went out for a meal and put 2lb on! I wouldn't mind so much but I made healthy choices, honestly (well, apart from the slice of cheesecake.....)
BUT I have fallen back into my old ways this month of skipping breakfast and then not eating until I'm absolutely ravenous. I was reading this week that doing that is the worst thing because your body goes into starvation mode and hangs onto the calories in between meals, as it doesn't know when it will next be fed.
So I'm back on the 'breakfast wagon' now, and trying to have small meals/snacks regularly through the day so I don't let myself get starving hungry.
I am determined to lose the 2lb I put on, at the very least, this week.
I'm going to weigh in on Monday, and use that weight to end the jan challenge and start the feb challenge.
Good luck to everyone for the final push this week !I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
