the or will contact ur creditors, u dont have to do it ...iv read some posts where they are still being chased by some and if that happens you can print off a copy of ur dro and send it to them and if they still persist then u have to let the or know and he will deal with them.....dont tell any of them that you have applied for a dro cuz they might try legal action b4 its submitted....just send those letters off...they might keep them at bay till ur dro is sorted :)

Hi everyone it's me again with a couple of questions on behalf of my friend who has applied for a DRO.

She changed bank accounts last week as she was asked to do and she applied to Nat West for their Step Account. The guy who she saw instead let her have a Card Plus account instead telling her that if she is successful with the DRO application then to let them know and they will downgrade her to the Step. She kept on telling him that she wanted just a basic bank account but when he did the credit check on her instead gave her the card plus. She is worried now that it looks like she has a good credit rating so will be declined the DRO. Will it affect her application for a DRO?

Also over a year ago (13 months to be precise) she was left money in a Will which she used to do up her home as she was not able to do this on the income she has coming in. It wasn't much that she received but should she tell the CAB about it. There isn't anything left of this money now so she hasn't got it available to pay off any debts.

I can't think of any question on the application that that would form part of the answer to - it would have been more of a problem if she had used it to pay off a creditor or two. She did use it to do up her rented house?

Today, I've been offered more credit from one of my creditors...........................this is after I called them on Saturday 2 inform them I could no longer meet my required payments......................obviously I told them where 2 stick it! But it's no wonder people spiral further & further in2 debt, when even if your on the bones of your knees, you're still suitable for further credit. They'll get a shock once (whenever that may be) my DROs submitted.

yep, c how much they'l offer you then lol...got another letter from lloyds 2day saying if i dont pay money into my account to pay my loan then they will take it from any other account i hold with them....well u would think that they already know i have no other accounts...lets see..shall i pay some money in so i dont get any more letters.........er....dont think i will..lol good job they dont have my phone number.lol:T

I got offered £500. I said I can't pay wot I owe u already, where the hell do u think I'll get the money 2 increase my payments? They seemed 2 think I'd jump at the chance.............................£500 doesn't even make a dint in my debts! can u report llyods 2 OR if they keep bothering u? Is it a week since ur DRO went thru?
