Been to royal courts of justice on strand, saw a DRO intermediatery and gave me some forms to fill in and bring back with other documents leave it with her and then she will see if i qulify and call me to arrange an appointment.
Does that sound about right?
I told her about the car being registered in my name but dad is legal owner and she was not very keen and said it counts as an asset i told her i have been advised otherwise and she said she will make sure its okay, she said if its a gift to you its an asset, i told her i had to register it in my name because off insurance.
Will i have any problems there?0 -

You may do i can't be sure but if you are the registered keeper aswell as the registered owner( i think it is) then on paper you do own the car even if dad paid for it and you say he owns it. I think the key point is what is on the log book.0 -

I posted up on here a few days ago, and was told should be ok if i can prrof its in dads name.
Can anyone confirm this for sure?0 -
well as far as dvla and police are concerned..Being the registered keeper does not mean that you are also the Legal owner...it also says this on the actual v5 document.
Does your dad have any receipts from when he paid for it? Also get him to write a letter maybe x0 -

If you have proof it's in your dads name you should be fine. What does it say on the Log book..?.
I think it also asks if you are the legal owner does it not..? If it does and it's in your name you may have trouble. They could view your dads receipts as him paying for it but handing it to you as it's in your name. Therefore as i said on paper it is yours.0 -

the log book only states who the keeper is not the actual owner i.e. the main driver...that doesnt mean the car belongs to the person.... We had a run in with the police because of ths once lol x0
