Really sorry of this is in the wrong place, please move if it is.
My friend has applied for a DRO is now just waiting to see if approved but I have a question regarding help with prescriptions and dental if someone can help.
She has a form HC1 as she cannot afford to get her prescriptions for blood pressure meds so is going without. She got the form in the hope that she will qualify for free scripts and dental work.
Out of her monthly pay she is lucky if she has a fiver to her name once all bills, rent and council tax are paid. I have looked at how they work out if you qualify but can't make head nor tail of it. Do you think she has a chance of having help and will being in the process of applying for a DRO matter in any way?
Many thanks.
Edit: Forgot to say she has her son living with her temporarily who works but his money is tied in a mortgage and child support as he is separated from his wife and children. Will this make any difference to the outcome?
Sorry for asking more than one question.0 -
okey dokey...talk later xx
Ok missus, I'm back, here goes.................:-
Completed SOA
List of creditors & estimated balances
Signed debt relief order conditions
Consent form
Experian report
Letter from IS
Letter from CTC
Pension statement
Halifax statement (printed myself, is that ok?)
Natwest statement.
Now, I haven't got proof of CB or DLA, I've rang up & asked 4 them 2 be sent 2 me............would it be ok 2 send them on when I receive them, or will the bank statements be proof enough?
I think I may put a covering letter in2, but they may need a truck 2 !!! & pick it all up by the time I've finished!!!!:)I am a Leo...& as such I will defend my "pride" ferociously....you have been warned!0 -

bloody hell they will need a truck for all that lot, and if ur credit report is anything like mine was.......10 pages..lol..:eek::eek:
I've just wrestled with it 4 10mins 2 get it all in the envelope.............had 2 resort 2 sellotape 2 hold the flap down!!! Very professional looking :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I've just re read my IS letter, if they read through it properly it's got a breakdown of all my benefits, so hopefully that will suffice. I've put in a polite covering letter asking them 2 contact me should they need anymore information xxxI am a Leo...& as such I will defend my "pride" ferociously....you have been warned!0
