  • They're planning to change the legislation from April 2011 but it's not been 100% confirmed yet and these things have a habit of being delayed so I wouldn't take it as gospel just yet ;)

Lol i just tried their online DRO pages that lead to their online assesment form,i completed it and was advised i have " minus £246 a month coming in,pay creditors only £1 ,and come back to the site and be reassessed in 3 to 6 months when your circumstances change"....lol!!!!!!!!!!!
I also tried emailing the main DRO email at the CAB from the insolvency gov site, their atomated responce was "Search for your local bureau and once the address details are displayed scroll down to the Specialist Services section. If Debt Relief Order is listed, the bureau will be able to assist with your application." After searching the 3 CAB's for my area none of them had a "Specialist Services section" that i could find!
Lol looks like i will have to meet these "creatures" that has been set up at the local CAB after all.
Anyway thank you both for all the suggestions if i survive the consultation, and if my head dosent implode, i will post whats happening....
Eeeeck consultation with lawyers one day and then the following day lazer surgery at the hospital, i just cant wait for next week, what fun!!! lol!!!!

If you're in a deficit budget maybe your budget needs addressing first. Maybe you could copy the income and expenditure summary up on here so we could all see it. The website should offer a DRO if your surplus is between £1 and £50, and the debt and assets are within the limits

Has your intermediary submitted the application? If not, let him/her know that the balance is £24 higher.

yes its already been submitted. but i only know about the added fees cos of checking the account on line but have not recieved any notification of these charges by post or email. my wife asked them on the day of getting the dro set up how much the full settlement of the account would be and if there was any other charges to be added on this month they said there was no other charges but when we checked last night they have added more !!!!
our consern now is theres gonna be two different totals for it and are panicking incase dro is revoked cos of this

No, it won't be revoked. The worst-case scenario is that they could theoretically chase you for £24. But it's unlikely to happen in practice.

DROs are often approved 24 hours after submission. Have you checked with your AI or on the Insolvency Service site if/when yours was approved?
  • iam still waiting for cab to let me know if dro has been successful also been checking insolvency website to see if our names are up there. i guess they are busy lol
