:jHello all and congratulations on all the good work!
This is my first post EVERQuit smoking last night at 11pm so 24 hours gone already! Nearly broke at 9 but got through it. This time its for REAL!
Decided to kill two birds with one stone and pay the money Im saving on fags straight into my debts...smoked 10 a day (£3.50 approx per day). Made my first payment of £3.50 to capital one today by internet banking and will be doing the same tomorrow for Barclaycard!! Should get rid of the debts quicker...
Wish me luck and all the best!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
What a BRILLIANT 1st post!!!!!!
So positive and a fantastic incentive (apart from the numerous benefits to you) to stay smoke-free.
This thread has been such a very big help to me............I'm not sure I'd still be smoke-free after 19 weeks if I hadn't been posting/reading on here. If it's quiet, just go back and read the old posts............it really really does help tremendously.Nicotine Free since 01.08.2010 :j:j:j

M'Boro lights for some reason...well at most they are £3.45, some places £3.20. Got hooked on the expensive stuff lol. So Ive rounded it up to £3.50 as its a fairly round number!! So thats £105 a month and £1260 a year if I keep it up
:o
Im not patronising or questioning anybodys maths skills btw, just like to look at the figures!!:rotfl:"Sealed Pot Challenge" member 1123:D

Ps A little tip.............this helped me............I realised that when I stopped smoking I wasn't breathing properly. When you get told to do breathing exercises it's always in through nose - out through mouth. I found I needed to breathe in deep through my mouth...........just as if I was taking a deep drag.
Also have a read through this about blood sugar levels in the 1st few days. http://www.whyquit.com/joel/Joel_03_21_blood_sugar.htmlNicotine Free since 01.08.2010 :j:j:j

A very warm welcome to the thread, nbox9728!!
It's always good to welcome new quitters on and you sound soooo very determined to master it; work on that determination nbox as that and the pouring the money into your debts will really excite you and help you through. Do remember though that the main reason you're quitting (I hope) is for your health as no doubt you know all the awful things that can happen IF you carry on with it!
You sound young, but whether you are or not it's still so important to nip it in the bud NOW, but if you are young it's another thing to help pull you through that much faster - beat it whilst you haven't harmed your health. If you need more help than on here, go to your Cessation Nurse at your Dr, they really will help you. Keep chatting to us nbox, you'll get so much support here! I most certainly wish you all the very best that's possible - but - the luck you'll make yourself, so stay strong and complete a terrific journey, you owe it to yourself for your LIFE!
Hello Catherine, you're doing wonderfully well and many congratulations on that first terrific month!!! :T:j:j :T Marvellous news about how well you did on Saturday night, that takes real willpower - and you have it!!!Be so very proud, Catherine, you've earned that! One thing I am surprised at you over though is the thought of me putting any other word on here that could be mistaken for anything other than pyrography!! I'm shocked  and speechless. :silenced: It gave me a giggle though.
Still going so very strong then Ross, wonderful!!! :T:T:T Isn't it so good to reach a milestone then go on counting days away from it whilst .............onto the next! :j
DD, that breathing is a really great thing to do at times when you're struggling a little. Do it properly whilst putting you mind onto beautiful thoughts. You CAN get past this - you KNOW you will!
Have a brilliant non-smoking day everyone, you've all earned the right to be so chuffed at how far you've come - be it an hour, a day, a week, month or year - it's fantastic!!! :j
