Look around for all the help necessary, DD, anything so long as you don't give in to that evil little sw*** Nick! Remember that Vow you found and please thnk of folk like mustkeephoping who's lives are in such peril due to all the evils and chemicals that fags have in them. mustkeephoping's doing brilliantly and so are you! This is just one weak time - that YOU CAN get through and be delighted about after it's over!
In your mind, fill a jam jar with all the fags you've ever smoked; add a little water to it and pit it by your bed at night, under your nose wherever you go or whatever you do in the day time. Smell it..see it....and see how it disgusts you - it does me just - writing about it!!!
Hang on in there, DD, you're stronger than Nick, you want and need your health to remain GOOD ......AND you're a member of SPC 4 now where every penny counts!!!
Fags are a thing of the past ...look towards the future DD.

Thanks Sue!
I can't describe how I'm feeling...........really NOT craving as such..............just that I'm thinking about smoking lots whereas I wasn't.
I have this mantra tho':
I WILL NOT SMOKE AGAIN.............EVER!
I WILL NOT SMOKE AGAIN.............EVER!

Hi again DD. Well done with your mantra, write it down and pin it up in every room to keep you reminded.
Is there a hobby you can throw yourself into? How about learning a new language? What about cross stitch, knitting, crosswords, jigsaws - anything at all that you'll enjoy and that will distract you.
How about looking into Pyrography (view on YouTube) I love it and it certainly takes you out of yourself.
Re your jar - fling in what you've already saved so far by all means.
Stay srong, DD, the further away you get the easier it becomes - I promise you!

:j:j:j:j:j:j whoo hoo one month! im so proud if I do say so myself!
I went out on Saturday night and I only thought about smoking when an old friend asked me if I was going outside for a smoke. For a split second I wanted one but I just said Iv quit and it felt very good. I certainly didnt envy people going outside in the cold!
Well done Ross, you quit the day before me I think, it feels so good to have quit for one month. Next stop 2 months!
DD I know what you mean about the smoking thoughts your having. I think they are worse when you have stopped for a while because you sort of forget how bad it was. I found a free book on this website and its good for dealing with the little voice you hear, it might be worth a look https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/99656
Haha Sue at first glance I thought you meant something else when you told DD to take up pyrography :rotfl: I really need to read properly instead of scanning quickly through lol!
Hope everyone is well, thanks again for all the support!xxStopped smoking 15th Nov 2010

Well done for sticking with it, I am a month into my quit, and can say that this forum has been a godsend, the people ever so helpful, I would reccomend that you read through some of the previous posts and pick up some of the tips etc.Decided to kill two birds with one stone and pay the money Im saving on fags straight into my debts...smoked 10 a day (£3.50 approx per day). I can honestly say I have never thought of doing it that way ... what a brilliant idea ... I just dumped all the money everyday into a money tin that cant be opened unless you use a tin opener, but I like your style with paying the debts daily, may give that a go.
Nbox, I wish you all the best in your non smoking journey, and remember that we are all here throughout your quit, as others have been there for us.
Which method are you using? cold turnkey? nicorette products? niquitin products zyban or champix etc
