That's marvelous news, jammy, I'm so glad the weather was kind to you, as you rightly say..getting back's a totally different matter, but... also it could be said.... "who gives a jot", so long as you don't need to be back for anything in particular!

Keep at it jammy..especially now you know you're able to!

    Have a great time.

Hi larmy and good to see you!

Well done everyone, this thread is giving me so much inspiration.

I'm on Day 9 now, I have not put on the 24 hour patch today, basically I forgot this morning and just stuck it in my handbag but haven't really had any craving apart from one this afternoon due to stressful hour at work but even then was fine really.

Shall I go without the patches if I feel I don't need them, what do you chappies think. I could carry one in my bag incase it was needed. I am due to go back to the Chemist on Friday for another weeks supply.

Am I putting the cart before the horse LOL

No, i can honestly say I don't really get cravings-in fact, i can't stand the smell of cigarettes when my husband is smoking.
    It does get easier-honest!! lol
my husband stopped at the same time as me, but he only managed for 6 weeks and i carried on not smoking -I didn't go out for 2 or 3 weeks so i wouldn't see other people smoking.
I now enjoy the fact that i don't have to sit in the cold and have a smoke-or in the rain or snow. it's great, my clothes and hair don't smelll of cigs either. It's only after i'd stopped smoking that i could smell the effects of smoking.
    Continued good luck!! x:)
