What amazing news from everyone!! You've all done marvellously and I can just about feel the pride coming from each of you, and you've earned every bit of that. Excellent progress folks, stay with it and you'll be so very delighted!!! :T:T:T:T
Very Many Congratulations whathavewedone!!! :T:T:T It's so good to see you back again. Don't worry about the vanity, if it works in your favour then get as vain as you wish, why not anyway, you deserved it! The colds are very natural as you know, but all you've been through is so worth it as it's getting you back to a whole new you, the one you left behind when you took it up...just like the rest of us. It's so good to hear about the spring in your step, splendid news, and not bad going with the weight either...more healthy that's for sure!
Keep going strong Daz, manny and Em, you've so much to stay focused for as you're doing yourselves proud! Well done on more clothes space in your suitcase Em!
However tough it may seem some times folks, you know those times never last long, but you need to go through them. One way of viewing it is that every day over with is a day closer to your goal of having QUIT proper....a day further away from the ill-health that fags had promised you.
Good health to you ALL!!

Hi folks, I am still at it. Tomorrow I go to get my prescription and the nurse will give me my first "poisonous breath test" since the first day I saw her. Last time I saw her I was still on 20 a day, I seriously do not think that she believed I would give up.
So I am looking forward to blowing into the machine
I found an unopened pack of 20 the other day, as I was cleaning my car, and they have sat in front of me for two days waiting for my brother to pick them up. Odd really because I have been out with him and could have taken them:rotfl:. But I have not once thought of having one.
It is great not being a slave to the drug. :T:T:T:T:T:T
I am going to a wedding on Friday and needed a room . They were all none smoking and I did not care for once :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OK, really sorry I have not been around, I have been moving house and without internet for a few days.
I have read the Allen Carr book that a wonderful person sent me (a million times THANK YOU)I am now on day 3, today had probably been the hardest so far, well during the night but that is a bit mixed up at the moment as my sleeping pattern is off tilt.
After finishing unpacking each box my thoughts are *oooow fag time* then I remember that I have stopped, at one point a few hours ago it was really bad my thoughts went from "I want a fag " to "I want to LIVE " I have a breath test with the nurse next week, Hopefully I will not feel like I am going to die right there and then in the DR's surgery like the last time. AND if i do need to be hospitalized, I can go now, without the fear of not being able to smoke....isnt that crazy......about 3 months ago I went to the DR's he wanted to put me in hospital there and then as I was not getting enough oxygen in my blood stream, I made a million excuses about no one at home to look after the children (they are 16 year old twins, they would have coped,,,,eaten funky food, but coped) really it was because I was so afraid of being without a cig,,,,even though at the time EVERY cig was making me have a asthma attack,,,,,,I feel so PATHETIC.
I am getting through a load of ice poles, but the calories in those are very low and they do seem to be helping.
I am going to read this thread from start to finish in between emptying boxes.
I can't wait till I can get up the stairs without needing a rest when I get to the top, or hanging on to the banister for dear life half way up.

Hi Sanfran, you are doing so well! Moving house AND stopping smoking - you deserve a medal:T :T :T
In a rush and will be back but just wanted to let you know that we are here for you and we are :j for you.I am a non-smoker :j last cigarette 10th February 20100 -
Hi Sanfran.
Well if you can quit while moving that is some achievement. You should be and continue to be very proud of yourself. In another sense though, being very busy can help. Good to know your new abode will not be tainted by that horrible old nicotine.
I unexpectedly found myself in the company of a couple of unknown smokers recently. We were sitting outside. I noticed that they were saying " I will just have this" (a rollie) and I then I will do so and so. Just like I and many others have done.
That night I dreamed I was smoking a roll up and I was so upset in the dream!
Then last night I dreamed I had got totally drunk in a situation where I forgot everything I had done! So glad when I woke up as I could feel the shame of it all.;)
Keep it up all!:TGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

If anyone's story should put people off smoking, yours should, eh? I wish you the best of luck with your journey. You CAN do it. Hi all!
Well everything's still going strong here in Pixieland. My fiance received his e-pipe last night and was puffing away on it in the pub like Sherlock Holmes! It lets off a lot more vapour than the e-cigs though and, unfortunately, gives off a slight chemical smell, so I wouldn't advise it for enclosed spaces, even though it's legal.
Hope everyone's doing OK out there. I keep thinking that at some point the summer will be over and I will be able to enjoy a meal/drink/*insert activity of choice here* without having to stand outside in the rain every half an hour for a cig! Commmmeee on Winterrrr!

Thrifty you are amazing, never forget that!
I would be highly amused to see your bf puffing on an e pipe! Perhaps we should give him a deerstalker hat to complete the scene.
Well done.:TGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
