Very Many Congratulations FEE, that is such wonderful news and I'm thrilled to bits to see you too have managed it.:T:T:T I do hope some of the others will come back and tell us of their successes and add their names to yours and ceebeeby.
There you are again folks - even MORE evidence that you too CAN quit! It's always so good when fellow quitters tell us of their successes, please let them spur you on, knowing that it HAS been done, and that, all being well, your names will be added to the list someday soon. Stay focused ALL and have a lovely weekend whatever you do, so long as it's smoke-free it'll be just GREAT!!! :j

How you doing Daz? Very quiet on the thread at the moment. Let's hope it's just that people are enjoying the sun. Cooled down a bit in Surrey and that suits me.

You took the words right out of my mouth larmy, I instantly thought "well what about you then!"
So Daz, how far along are you now? It would really help if you could keep us all up to speed (you too) by putting the amount of time gone by and means of stopping on the title bar, thanks a lot Daz.
The cooler weather suits us far better down yer too larmy, I hate it too hot... but then I'm the same if it's too cold too! :undecided

I am doing very well thanks.
I get the odd "craving" but it is usually just a reflex action and goes the second I remember that I do not smoke.
At that point, I do not go "damn, cannot have one" I go "woohoo, I do not smoke :j". The only time I may have come close to having one was in the early hours of this morning, but I had a drink and was angry at something.
It soon passed though.S!!!!horpe0 -
Hi All,
Havent been on for a while but thought I'd see how everyone is doing! Congrats to everyone who is still resisting temptation. I've just got back from holiday and for the first time in 8 years I have returned without a suitcase full of duty free tabs :-)
Much Love,

Hi,
Just checking in to say I'm still off the fags and someone I haven't seen for ages asked me if I'd had a facelift because I looked so much younger and fresher!!!
I still miss smoking now and again and have put some weight on but I have only gone from a 6/8 to an 8/10 so as long as I don't put any more on it doesn't really matter.
It has been a struggle. I had endless colds for the first couple of months and didn't feel well at all. Then had a few domestic issues which made me feel down and I was really tempted to reach for my trusty old crutch.
I feel I have turned a bit of a corner now. I gave up smoking for my health and to be hopefully be around to see my children grow up but increasingly I am finding vanity to be a real spur! I'm going to be 40 in a few months and the only positive thing that I can find about that is that people think I'm in my early thirties. If I start smoking again by this time next year I will probably look every day of my age and maybe more.
Suddenly I've got a spring in my step and of course I don't cough in the mornings any more or have to clear my throat constantly. I don't have to mask the smell of smoke with perfume and mints. My teeth have got a lot whiter and I am going to have them professionally whitened soon to hopefully remove any evidence of smoking and give me more of an incentive to stay on the straight and narrow.
I will keep checking in every now and again.
Well done everyone and to those of you thinking about taking the plunge, good luck!0
