I have 13 cigarettes left and I refuse to buy anymore. Once I smoke my last one that is it.
My plan (as long as the kids cooperate) is to clear all the ashtrays, lighters and any other smoking stuff out of the house, give it a quick clean and bleach to reduce the smell, ive made a really healthy special tea, with loads of goodness thats super filling, cos i know that once i quit im gonna eat like a horse, cos smoking supresses my appetite, so hopefully i shall soon be able to eat better, then have a long soak in the bath, making myself smell lovely and an early night to make sure im not tired and grumpy tommorrow. Then get my patches ready at the side of the bed so i remember to put it on as soon as i wake up.
Im more than ready although slightly scared and apprehensive about what lies ahead. But I think its normal to feel like this.
I know its not going to be easy, but I am very stubborn and dont give in very easily. I can beat this.
Weird feeling knowing that tommorrow I will be a non smoker. Slight bit of excitement creeping in there.
I have no real plans for tommorrow, but i am gonna try and keep as busy as i possibly can, ill pop on and keep you updated.
It feels marvelous:D:D:D
I have a little trick, I will share.
If I feel like I want a fag I do not say to myself "oo I wish I could have just the one" my mind jumps up and down laughing at Nicotine screaming "ha ha ha, you have not got me anymore, and blow raspberries too:D"
Hope this helps :rotfl:S!!!!horpe0 -

He's ordered a pipe version of the e-cig which I've asked if I can borrow on our wedding day if I need it. The idea of my wedding dress coupled with a droopy old-fashioned pipe tickles me no end.
Some great statistics there Thrifty Pixie, very well done indeed..for you both! :T I have an amazing image of you on the way down the aisle...pipe in mouth and folk staring at you with eyes like door-stops!!!:D
Great news princesswoo, and it sounds as though you have the day completely planned out. Most often that is best to do, certainly keeping busy will be really good for you, cleaning the house too. It's really therapeutic and makes you feel so much cleaner after having stopped the smelly stuff. Go for it PW, we're all right behind you!! :T
Oh, I used to absolutely hate smelly fingers larmy, especially being female felt far worse and I always felt so ashamed of them. I even used a pumice stone once to get the yellow off - YUK!!!
There are so many good things about leaving fags behind everyone so just focus on yourselves having stunk like dirty old ashtrays....a real putter-offer for sure!!Treat yourselves to a nice perfume asap..not you Daz, it's a girl thing!
Then again.......!
All the best everyone, we're backing you ALL!

Still a non smoker
Two things I can now do
1, fly to New Zealand should I wish.
2, Go to prison. I was scared of going before because of the shortage of fags :rotfl:
Just a note about Champix, if anyone can confirm, or give thoughts. All my food tastes smokey. Coffee tastes extra smokey and smoked salmon just tastes of extreme smoke.
I have saved £53
Not smoked 225 fags
And saved nearly 19 hours of my life:T:T:T:T:TS!!!!horpe0 -

Sorry, I can't comment on Champix but I must say that I think you're doing really well, especially considering what a heavy smoker you wereMortgage-Free WannabeMortgage at start [20/6/12]: £151,800/MFD Jun 2035 (age 65)Mortgage now [5/11/14]: £139,212.14/MFD Oct 2029 (age 59)Personal Library 2014:starmod: Read in 2014: 57/60 :starmod: In Progress: 2 :starmod: Books In: 94 :starmod: Books Out: 12 :starmod: TBR: 847 :starmod:0 -
Well my plans didnt go well last night 3 very uncoopererative children and 1 very tired and stressed out mummy today. So i didnt get to do any of my pre quit plan, but i will try and do it tonight.
The kids had me awake most of the night and when they didnt have me awake i was waking up myself itching to have a cigarette, i have never woken in the night to have a cigarette.
So i am a little dissapointed to say i have had 1 cigarette so far today. But i would have normally had about 5 by now, so although im not off to the best start its a massive improvemnent. I didnt really smoke it though, i just held it and whiffed the smoke smell.
I have a patch on my butt cheek, to sunny outside to have it on my arm, and my DD came running in saying ''mummies bums smoking'' to which we all had a chuckle.
Im not considering it a failure. Just a false start. I am going to continue with trying to not have any cigarretes today, then aim for none tommorrow.
Im gonna go and see the doctor this afternoon, see what he can suggest to help me even more, i feel this addiction has afar stronger hold over me than it has in previous attempts. But perhaps its just me feeling like it has because my lifes a lot more complicated and stressful now compared to previous times.
3-6pm is gonna be a really testing time as its always chaos in our house at that time every night.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
