    Hello all,

Just a quickie before i go and see to the animals and walk the dog. I am finding it so much easier whilst on my housesitting. I think it's because i am busier doing things to a different routine [the animals!!] and i had to count up the days today as I forgot!
Back home tomorrow as there is another 4 legged guest coming for 2 weeks,

Keep on giving up, and not giving in!!

19 days Cas:j That is amazing, you're doing soooin England very well. Good news too that the animal sitting is such a bonus for you, something to really take your mind off bad habits obviously! I'm glad you're able to stay in touch as with luck this may be helping elfen too! See you soon Caz and....WELL DONE!:)

Wonderful news elfen, you've got a much better hold of things today, maybe the patches are just what you need to get you through it. Far better to stick (oops! Another ruddy pun:() with them than for it not to be successful. Great work elfen, really it is!:T

Stay determined and keep reassuring yourself that it's all so very worth it!

"not doing too bad???" elfen, you're doing wonderfully well!! Bear that in mind and give yourself a darned good pat on the back, you truly do deserve it!! :T Good for you with the cross stitch, anything like that which 'takes your mind' is so worth doing. At times you're not able to that then try some keys on a ring, it's amazing how things like that help, a bit like making models with plasticine or similar...you may even find that you're gifted!!! ;)

You're almost through your first complete DAY....when you get there and know what that feels like, hang onto those thoughts to see you through every other day and BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!A word of warning elfen....don't be too late to bed, as tiredness didn't help you at all last night, but this is a new you today/night, keep it up!!! Have a refreshing night's sleep and we'll see you tomorrow. :)

Glad to report I went to bed early last night, but it's the morning craving before my patch works that's a killer at the moment.

Found all my hidden stashes of baccy, and all of it has had water put in so it's unusable, and all I'm relying on is patches and the inhalator if things get bad (or first thing in the morning)

Feeling quite good, nicely relaxed and amazed that by now I'd have spent £12 on ciggies and instead it's in my bank! Gonna get through til next week, and maybe I'll buy me a little prezzie :)

    Hi All,

Sorry I havent been in touch recently, work has been manic! At least I guess it has kept my mind busy. It look like everyone is doing really well! I have just had a carbon monoxide test and had a reading of 0 after 4 weeks of non smoking!

    Love to all!

    Hi all,

Have given up smoking and have now manged 24 hours! Feeling pleased with myself even though i'm a bit grumpy! I'm allergic to the glue in the nicotine patches so am going cold turkey! With the support of my darling fiancee! I've been smoking around 20 a day for the past 10ish years and have now stopped! I promised myself i would before my wedding in Novemeber so can i join your thread?

    Does it get easier?

I need some advice, I have just today finished my 3rd and final session with a hypnotist and yes I still smoke, the hypnotist is highly recommended and yes I do really want to quit or I wouldn't of paid him £75 per session, I can add that to my list of failures which include NRT, Champix, NLP and Allen Carrs method, I just feel completely disheartened now and don't know what to do, longest i've lasted was 2 days, as I say I do want to quit, it's me and no one else making me quit but as I say I don't know what else to try, the most disheartening thing is you read about these methods online, take Allen Carr, on amazon he has a good 97% positive reviews, yet I read that book 3 times and to give it it's credit it was the only thing that got me to stop, but it wad only for 2 days, I'd really appreciate some tips please.
