Hi Guys! I have two full and sealed packets of 4mg NiQuitin Minis that I want to get rid off. My Drs gave me 3 packets and after trying a single little lozenge I knew that they weren't for me. Called Pharmacy to see if I could take them back (well at least the two sealed packets anyway) but was told that once anything left the pharmacy they couldn't take it back and that I should just throw them in the bin! Was going to put them on Ebay and just charge for the postage but thought someone on here might want them....? Maybe you could send me some stamps or something? Not really sure how it would work, but if you can think of a way and would like them I will gladly send them out to you
Oh, will also include the open pack if you like - there is only two missing and seems a shame to just chuck them! The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

That's the policy with all medications bluebellbunny, has been for a long time now. You may be able to help someone out here with them, it just depends who uses them and if they wish to change e-mail addresses and postal ones. Fingers crossed that they won't be completely wasted though. Good for you for thinking of someone.
Hi Emma, lovely to see you back and still doing so very well, well done!! :T To help you to keep less stressed during the holiday take the kiddies out as much as possible, the fresh air will do you all the world of good, plus, and here's the best bitit'll help exhaust the kids a bit and stop them from squabbling so much!
Good for you nervousmother! Yes, you're still in the very early stages yet, but you're doing well and have a lot to be proud of. Just never, ever let yourself become complacent or have feelings of "oh well, I've quit for a couple of years I'll be able to have just one" you won't!! Still, I think in all honesty that you know that well and by the looks of it ....you're enjoying counting that cash too much anyway! Also, as we all (and especially you) know - you can never, ever put a price in your health and you are helping yours soooo very, very much! Keep it going NM and always stay strong! x
Hi jammy dodger, such good and wise advice there!:D
Keep it up everyone, and if any of you have slipped and fallen, just come on back and start again, it's so worth it. Stay focused and strong.

Thanks sue, ;-) yes I do know.. I also know how easy it is to get hooked again. I did stop about 10 years ago, managed nearly a year smoke free then started again whilst drunk! oh well.. wont happen this time.
Bluebellbunny, although I use the niquitin i get free perscriptions. Do you know any smokers who may secretly be wanting to quit? If not im sure someone on here would take advantage of the saving! I saw the packs in a chemist at £5 per pack!0 -
Hi everyone just thought I'd bob on and say hi.
I'm still going strong and feel I'm doing quite well, not as many mental arguments with myself atm.
I feel the next couple of weeks is going to be the tester for me as the kids broke up from school friday for easter, hopefully I am going to be a nice not too grumpy mummy this holiday.
Hope everyone is doing well, and coping well
Emma x
Hi Emma I am glad to see you on here I was starting to worry that I hadn't seen you and a couple of others, I know some of us found it hard going.
Hang on in there Emma, you can do it.We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0 -
Thanks for that Amelia its good to know someone cares
I have had some awful awful moments but I am soooo determined I am not going to crack - also realising one day at a time it the TRUE way to go I don't think about next year, next month or even next week I just do one day at a time which makes it much much easier for me. I hope you are finding it a little easier Amelia I know we have had some tough tough days.
Thanks for the advice Sue, I had all intentions of getting out their and walking and walking but I went round the house and wrote a list of stuff I wanted to do as well (for the rainy days) and guess what its constantly blooming raining!!! typical!!

I want to know where Choille and Fliss are and how they are doing.
I can honestly tell you that at six weeks I hardly think about smoking and if I do it really is quite fleeting. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0 -

thats SO good to hear you should be very proud of yourself well done ameliarate
I Too was wondering about choile I remember those posts in early days am sure they'll pop by with up date .
like so many others found myself coming on this thread at least every day in the early stages of my quest for freedom , but as i thought less and less of smoking i tuned in less frequently to this excellent supportive thread , but hope now to give back support and share my experience to help others on there journey0 -
Hi Ameliarate......don't worry I'm still here just had a busy time the last week or so.
Funnily enough I was just thinking today I must pop on & see how everyone was doing.
The good news is I am doing well ........2 weeks today....I cannot believe it really....never, ever managed this long before:j!!
I think emma 133 is right in that you just have to take it one day at a time instead of thinking too far ahead.....that first week just seemed endless & I just couldn't stop thinking about not smoking ever again.
I have to say that although I have put on about 3 or 4 pounds I feel soooo much better in myself & even after only 2 weeks my skin is looking better than it has done for years.
Thanks for the support everyone.....it means a lot:A.0 -
Oooh... I haven't been here in ages  Just checking in to let you all know I'm still quit, and not even remotely missing fags. I've now been quit for just over one year and two months :j My beautiful great niece has never known me as a smoker, which I'm thrilled about.
To all the new quitters - do stick with it, the day will come sooner than you think, that you don't miss those nasty cancer sticks. Truly - if I can quit - a die hard smoker - then anyone can do it !!
