It will be given time! You are doing so well - keep it up. I remember IWRS coming on here at the at the start of their quit and look how positive they (he/she) is /are now. It is amazing but it's what happens!

When those of you that have stopped, relatively recently, post to say you are finding that you don't think about cigs or crave them anymore (other than a tiny thought now and again) it is so inspirational for me.

I feel I have worked really hard, because it has been a struggle for me as I really enjoyed my ciggies, and knowing that if I keep working then in the not too distant future I will really be free makes all the difference.

Thanks to all of you. :T

I find im worse if i have coffee, so iv nearly cut out coffee too! im now drinking hot chocolate or just water.. i dont get cravings after that!

Im not doing too bad, only day 6 after my slip up.. but im not thinking about 'ooo go buy 10 it wont matter' every 10 mins lol. I dont want to smoke. I dont want to buy any.
On a good note, my breathing is much better now.. im not using my inhalers as much and am able to walk more than 10 steps without getting out of breath.

Femme - Don't beat yourself up - you say that you smoked. Are you going to do it again?
  • Welllll that's my first day ALMOST over, did save one for this morning to have with my coffee while I waited for my patch to kick in and to relax and enjoy my LAST ONE EVER...but I don't count that as cheating! ;) Have been CRAVING like mad, had to add a second weaker patch this afternoon and go and buy some of those nicotine inhaler thingys but like I said to the pharmacist 'surely it's not as bad for me as putting a cigarette in my mouth' and he had to agree! Will put some money in my new money jar so after a while of sticking with this I can treat myself, think I will deserve it :D
Keep at it everyone - we CAN do this!!!!

Yea, don't give up giving up!!!! Lots of us on here - me included - have had more than one attempt at quitting. Think of it as a trial run. You were doing good, so you can do it.
It's a little slip, but don't let it take you away from your ultimate goal. The voice of nicotine will be telling you why bother quitting now but...........

So? You smoked before. Just don't smoke again.

Seriously you are not the only person who has had a blip whilst trying to stop. Dust yourself off and carry on. If you have bought some and have them left, soak them and bin them.

Lift your head up and carry on.
