Hi everyone! Another few days not so good, but hoping to stay with you now again.
Hi Feedumall, Graeme and Paul, congratulations to you all as you've done amazingly well and have so very much to be so proud of!!! :T:T:T
A very warm welcome nervousmother and bluebellbunny! I really do hope you can both be strong and firm and quit this time. Do your very, very best, especially you nervousmnother as with the complaint you have the time to nip it in the bud is - right now! Take the bull by the horns and read the PM and do the very best thing you possibly can and ....hang on to your LIFE!!!!
A few quite positive quitters from the little I've skimmed through, but others need plenty of will power and all the inner strength they have. Go back to your PMs and look through at all the tips that really can get you through this. Above all get out and walk as much as you possibly can. rink as much water, preferably sipping it, as you can. Eating apples and oranges will help you SO much, so please try all these things and you'll find it all so much easier to get through.
Someone said about cleaning their teeth helps and IT DOES!! Reschedule your day to help you through the more difficult times. Someone else said that to read through the thread would take ages! Exactly! Do it and you'll pick up even more advice plus, so long as you're reading ....you're NOT craving!
Go on folks, this journey is possible to get through, but you need to help yourself as well as have the support and help from everyone on here. Write down all the reasons WHY you should quit, the bad ones you ALL know about and they're never worth writing about, so PLEASE ...carry on and get to your goal posts, they'll come soon enough! I wish you ALL all the very best of health and all best wishes to get there!

Hey Guys and Gals
Who knew this would be so hard eh! Ive had a really awful few days, havent really spoken to anyone and have been really withdrawn, almost depressed like! So many times I was close to reaching for the fags but something stopped me everytime.
Anyhoo, woke up today feeling a bit better, yay!! Still want to smoke, although god knows why because my body doesnt physically need the nicotine anymore like it did at first so why on earth my mind still wants to smoke I dont know!
10 days now and determined not to quit quitting!!
Hope everyone is ok!!0 -
Thank you Sue-UU.
I am now on day 5 of no smoking. Im mad at my relapse as I should be on day 22. I went away friday morning with a smoking friend. We stayed in a hotel and went to some pubs and nightclub. I was frightened about going away but I was not even tempted to have one draw of hers, not that she offered.. but I came home feeling so much more positive.
Today my kids took me out for mothers day dinner. 3 course meal.. watchin all the folk slipping out inbetween courses for a cig. Yes I had a craving after id finished but just had a niquitin mini and I was fine.
So yes, I know its still early days but I will do it this time, I have quit ;-)0 -

Morning, Freedom Lovers
The beginning of another smoke free week....yay!
Last week was very hard for me for some reason. I even dreamed about having a cigarette. But thank goodness for the Niquitin Minis - amazing how they can kill a craving. I'm actually too wary to have a cigarette cos of the labyrinthitus dizziness. Still there, tho not as much as before but a fag now would probably set it off bit time.
Hey Choille buddy. How are you doing? We had a gorgeous sunny week and tho it's cold, the lighter mornings and evenings are great, huh? Going out walking with the dog more and it's lovely to see all the daffies and crocuses.
And all the lambs and calves that are appearing.................lovely. Guess you'll have crofting stuff to keep you busy.
For those in the horrible first few days throes of quitting, I found it hard to concentrate on much of anything for two or three days, and found that reading through this thread was inspirational.

Hi everyone, hope everyone is feeling well today.
Well I am now on day 9 and I am feeling great, first thing in the morning is a bit of a hard patch and the odd sneaky thought here and there through the day but I am feeling fabulous. I had a bit of a bad morning today forgot loads of stuff and had to drive 9 mile back home and still get the kids to school on time - last week I would have been pulling my hair out this week I found it amusing and it felt pretty good not to be so stressed in a stressful situation. I also spent the day with my mum at the weekend who smokes and it didn't bother me one bit which made me feel very proud.
Keep at it guys/girls we can and will do it.
