well it will be day 1 for me tomorrow. Day 9 on Champix. DS has been really sick overnight, so my crutch has been keeping me awake today. Can't sleep until the wee man is.
Roll on tomorrow and I look forward to the challenge.

Im on day 6 and today has hit me really hard. Started a new job today where everyone smokes

Cheers helenearth & all of you.
I got the doc on the phone & we agreed that I would cut tablets in half and give that a go until I see her Friday.
I am stressed out but anybody would be with what is going on for me at the moment - I think.
I just have to try & manage the stress & look at ways of handling that.
After a while of little sleep I get fraught & that feeds into the stress - vicious cycle stuff. I am not too bad on the half tablet so far & not feeling any strong cravings for a fag - just hope I can sleep tonight for more than a couple of hours.
Hope you all stay smoke free & try & banish those cravings.0 -

Last time I tried to stop I cried one night and I gave in and started again.
This time I cried on about the 5th day but didn't give in and it got easier. I did it agian 2 nights ago, sobbed like a baby. I don't know if it is normal or not but you are not alone. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0 -
I have tried to stop a few times, two years ago i tried with the help of zyban. on day 8 i began to swell up all over and had a nettle rash everywhere inc the soles of my feet!!! i reached for the cigs and ditched the zyban..
This time i have the nicorette minis, i must say they really help with the actual cravings, its just the mental thing I have to get over. I stopped two weeks ago for 6 days. Then i had two cigs. I stopped another 6 days then had another two. then another the next day and so it went on until last night. I rinsed what cigs were in the hosue under the tap and scrunched them up. Iv not had any today.
On my weak days, it wasnt even cravings I dont know what made me buy some. no one was smoking near me, no one smokes at work.. I just missed them. But im back to 1 day without a cig. Tomorrow will be 2...0 -
