Was worried about getting over the 3 week hurdle, but I've had some sort of winter lurgy for the last two days, so haven't felt like eating never mind smoking. Ah well, at least I've lost the tummy I seem to have acquired over the last three weeks ..lol :-)
Going back to bed. Well done y'all.
Thanks Choille, Buddy. Feeling a lot better today. Was supposed to see my counsellor on Fridaybut called her instead. She's really chuffed and has asked me to write a little article about my experience for some publication that she's involved in as a counsellor.
The dreams seem to be a part of quitting, not necessarily a result of using NRT. I'm having them too and remember that effect from previous quit attempts at well. They are very vivid and they seem to feature people from my past, even ones I met only briefly or haven't seen for years. It's like my mind is sifting through a big memory filing cabinet.
Oh and got the wind too ( even without the tummy bug  ) I reckon that's the body sifting through all the toxins..............YUK!New CC starting balances for 2014: BC: £2780.00 (2717.45) MBNA: £2185.72 (2160.72)

Glad you're feeling better Hellnearth. Great your counsellor has asked you to do the article.
I haven't quit yet ,but think the dreams with me are a part of the Champix.
Weather is a bit brighter today so feels better after all the dullness & cold.
Keep well.0 -
I couldn't wait to get my stage 2 patches on Tuesday so I cut a stage 1 patch in half and used half yesterday and the other half today. Cravings increased slightly yesterday but today have been fine. Should be weaned off the NRT within 3 weeks I hope.:) Day 17 now0

Hi all,
So good to be back with you all again! Our local chap came to fix the computer, and so far (hate saying this) all is well!!
From the little I've seen here, it looks as though you've all stayed true to yourselves and been very successful with your mission to quit and stay quit. Very well done everyone, you're all doing marvellously so give yourselves a huge pat on the back and reward yourselves with a little something each week. It really will help you to push on to the next stage.
It's so good to see more new quitters! Welcome aboard and all the very best to each and every one of you!
BTW choille, I agree about the Champix being related to your dreams, though nerves too may be playing a part. You'll be ok in the long run though and once you're fully awake the dreams soon diminish.
All being well I'll be back again tomorrow. Keep up the tremendous work and stay strong and focused!! :T:T:T

Hi all!
Just checking in - another weekend over and no desire to smoke. I have been pretty poorly though - had some kind of dreaded lurgy.....
However, I was cleaning my car out yesterday (freshening the seats and roof fabric and hoovering the ash up) and I found a cigarette box with one in. I couldn't believe I didn't even think about having it on the sly and gave it to my OH. Every other quit attempt I've had I would have had to argue with myself for ages and would have probably ended up smoking it and called it a blip (knowing full well it would happen again exactly the same!). Maybe I've dealt with my triggers? Maybe I'm more serious about it this time? I just don't know - these pills are like magic or something.
I can cope with the nausea and the crazy dreams if it means I am free of the evil weed! (Last night in my dream I was walking back from Redditch to my house with my OH - about 40 miles - with no shoes on as I'd left them on the bus, and stopped at a Tesco garage to buy some shoes as my soles were hurting. They had an offer on these shoes, they were £5.99 or something, and I wouldn't buy them because they weren't leather. Well I wouldn't want my feet to sweat. Really random).
Hope everyone's doing well
