great to see you sticking with it too ceebeeby , 33 days for me :j

again i have to remind myself one day at a time, am getting a bit closer to what i see as my personnal 2 month hurdle , never got beyond that (except when pregnant ) and that is a bit drastic way to stop:D

can say with all honesty that i have never remained so possitive about stopping and thats thanks to this wonderful thread and support here , great to be able to post thoughts etc ...its definately a change of frame of mind for me the thought of smoking still makes me feel yuk and the smell of smokers passing by ....

am continuing with my healthier diet too and love treating myself with tatsy fruits etc

Great to see folk continuing to post wish you all well . x x

I am 52 coming 53, I smoked every single day for 37 years and finally decided to stop this year. My last cigarette was on 21st January at 21:21. I went to our local stop smoking clinic and got some good advice decided to go with the patches. They also prescribed me an inhalator so I could top up my nicotine if I needed too. After 2 weeks I am now going to change from the first stage patch to stage 2 and I have only used 5 inhalator cartridges. I feel so smug that I have stopped and my self esteem has rocketed, wish I had stopped years ago. Oh and I got all my NRT on prescription which was helpful.

Was worried about getting over the 3 week hurdle, but I've had some sort of winter lurgy for the last two days, so haven't felt like eating never mind smoking. Ah well, at least I've lost the tummy I seem to have acquired over the last three weeks ..lol :-)
Going back to bed. Well done y'all.

this reminds me of the time i needed to make an emergency appointment at the docs ,
i walked over as its only 2 mins walk from me and as im deaf , i cant hear on the phone ,
the receptionist wouldnt make one for me , as they would only accept phonecalls ,
i told them i was deaf and unable to use the phone ,
no use , it fell on deaf ears :D;)
in the end i had to email a friend to phone up for me :mad:

This is absolutely outrageous behaviour  and in a Doctors too

I can't believe that, I hope you followed this up with a complaint. They can not be allowed to discriminate in this way

Started the 2 tablets a day last night - having funny dreams but not nightmares just incredibly vivid & surreal.

I plan to stop on 15th Feb - that's the plan.

Don't worry about the dreams, that's normal and even when you stop smoking you dream more vivid dreams! Good luck for 15th xx
