Jo I feel like you about the weight thing. I have been home most of last week, with the remnants of Christmas stuff, making bread in the breadmaker, baking little cakes for my family (got to taste them too) so the outcome is I have put on the four pounds I lost before Christmas.

So depressing, but tomorrow is another day and I am back to work, on foot if necessary and occupied and not thinking about eating out of boredom.

It is a dilemna but any doctor will tell you it is the single best thing you can do for your health to give up smoking.....they leave the nagging about your weight till later.

I don't know how old you are, but if you can get your smoking quit out of the way and then get the weight tackled. this is not meant as a lecture, just that it is so difficult to get it off when you are older and have messed up your metabolism with constant yo yo dieting!!

    All the best. X :)

  • That's me been smoke free for a week now! I'm very proud, especially as I went round to my friend's flat last night where a few folk were smoking and wasn't even tempted.

Actually, I suppose proud isn't the right word as its not willpower stopping me smoking, its Zyban! Ha.

Thanks St Clair ... Have ordered one! Wasn't sure it would come because I'm in Scotland and it's a different health service.

I quite fancy the stress toy for my hands because I do fidget. I was hoping to do some sewing, but am having trouble getting started!!!
