    Hi Guys

    Just a flying visit.....................

Good to see everyone is doing ok, keep it up!!!!

Hubby has fitted carbon monoxide meters and they are showing nothing:confused: mind you he only fitted them 3 hours ago lol
I have no idea why my reading and my youngests sons were high?????

My councillor is going to bring it up at a meeting she is at tomorrow and ring me if she has any possible answers.

I mentioned to my hubby that the last 2 times my readings have been high, the first time the councillor said not to worry as everybody she had tested had blown high and it must have been something in the air................. then I blew high this time and it's only been since she changed my patches, hubby said it wont be that but Im not sure................ then again that doesnt explain my sons high reading does it? oh I dont know.................

Anyway, We are still both smokefree:j:j and im at the stage where Im forgetting to put my patch on lol.......... that is a good sign though Im sure???

  • Great to see more and more people stopping - it's really worth it, it makes life so much more enjoyable.

No cravings, lots more money, feel fit and well, loads more energy......to mention but a few. Just ONE BIG REGRET ........ WHY THE HELL DIDN'T I DO IT YEARS BACK.
If I can do it - anyone can - its not a struggle or about missing out - its about the positives - health, wealth and happiness.

Well if Allen Carr, nicotine patches, will power etc doesn't do it for you here's a suggestion ........

Let us know what happens kezzae, it's concerning but if the meters are showing nothing then at least you know you are all safe at home.

I thought I'd just bump this up and say good luck to everyone for a bank holiday weekend in case there are going to be any triggers for anyone.

Says a lot about the UK these days that a thread that has the last post written at 10.46am the day before is now on page 5 of the debt free wannabee board eh?

    Thanks sandc xx

The monitors are still showing nothing, so it cant be my house................. hubby and kids think Im smoking in secret, which Im not!!!! But this is upsetting me even more because I know I am not smoking yet because the NRT ladies monitor is showing me as having a high reading and the house is ok they think I am???? That doesnt explain my sons reading though does it!
I look forawrd to going to the clinic and get all excited about blowing into the monitor to see my reading (sad I know), but the last two times I have gone have upset me, no one has any answers and the readings make me look like a failure and that Im wasting the clinics time................. I haven't been as active with the kids being off school so when they go back next week and Im out and about more that might make a difference?
We go back a week on Monday, so we'll see what I register at then............

  • Kezz - I hope you find out what's going on, as you are doing so well.

No real cigs left, been intergrating (big word for Sat morning !) my e-cig with my smoking. It definetley takes the want away. I'm going with it for now.

Excellent allthatmularky! Off the top of my head that's nearly 17 weeks (4 months) you've quit for!!! :T Either way, whatever it is, you've done amazingly well!!

Hiya Kezza, have you been anywhere near a bus, or with any one else that smoked or has travelled a fair bit? No one here thinks you've been cheating with smoking, so don't let yourself worry about what your NRT lady thinks - or anyone else for that matter. The main thing is what you KNOW to be true! You and your hubby are doing brilliantly and that's all that should be concerning you. So pleased your house is safe!

All the very best DC and no matter how you achieve it, the main thing is that you do!

Good luck Lewki, and IF you do feel like going outside, breathe in deeply all the time you're there and feel that fresh air going deep into your lungs, then exhale all the rubbish and visualise it going out and of into the air...and you being cleansed right through! Plenty of fruit remember!

All the very best everyone. Have great Sunday, Monday too, and enjoy being a non-smoker!!! :T
